I really liked that the top note didn't have an overpowering alcohol scent. It's so subtle you can barely detect it, which is fantastic. Overall, it has a sweet and slightly tart aroma. I used to wear Arpège, which was sweet throughout except for the top note, and I was starting to get a bit tired of the constant sweetness. This fragrance, however, is a delightful mix of sweet and tangy (it's zesty, but in a sweet way? A fresh kick?). It's like a sweet and sour fruit blend with gentle floral notes wafting through. As it settles, the base note reveals a musky scent typical of floral-fruity perfumes. Every time I smell that musk, I'm reminded of how classic this fragrance is. Rather than being heavy, it feels like it gently envelops you in a soft cloud. That's why you can comfortably wear it in spring and summer without feeling overwhelmed.
As always, Lanvin is quite common. Especially Jeanne Lanvin, which is famously known as a 'date night' perfume... If you dislike wearing popular scents, you might want to avoid this one. However, surprisingly, you don't encounter it that often.
The pink Jeanne gives off a girlish vibe, while the purple Jeanne Couture has a more mature scent.
