I'm not sure about the whitening effects. Aside from that, there are no major downsides.

The moisturizing power was just right, not too rich or too dry (I used it in the summer and fall).
There were no issues with breakouts or anything like that while using it.
It was just a nice, good cream. The biggest advantage of this cream is that there are no major drawbacks.
