Reason for purchase: I loved using the basic black Hera CC cream, so I tried this one. 1. Application: It applies thinly without clumping and has great adherence. 2. Oil and moisture balance: It harmonizes well with my skin's natural oils. Even during this really hot period (June), I have dry skin so I mix in a drop of So Natural oil, and it doesn't break down, doesn't get greasy, doesn't dry out - it's great! 1. When used alone, it feels stiff and dry, making my cheeks itchy. Might be better suited for oily skin types. It's a bit thick, but I diligently spread it with a brush. Once it looks evenly distributed, even if some texture is visible, I pat it with a damp sponge. - Hwahae UserDry SkinApr 18, 2017 (UTC+0)
The foundation adhered well to my skin without looking cakey, which I really appreciated. Plus, it matched my complexion perfectly, which was a big plus for me! Unfortunately, it tends to break down as time passes. Also, even when applied in a thin layer, it leaves noticeable fingerprints if you touch your face. - eu*******Dry SkinJun 22, 2016 (UTC+0)
Let me start by describing my skin type. I have combination skin with an oily T-zone and dry cheeks. My complexion is very fair but slightly dull, with no acne but some redness and light freckles. Although I have dry skin, I dislike products that feel greasy or don't absorb well, which is why I chose this product. I love how it applies smoothly and leaves a matte finish. I heard the Hera black CC cream can be a bit greasy, so I opted for this one instead - and it was definitely a good choice! It does a great job at evening out my skin tone, fulfilling the primary function of a CC cream. It eliminated my dullness, which I'm so happy about! However, it doesn't give that 'your skin but better' natural look - it's more noticeable than that. In terms of coverage, it's moderate when compared to other products, but better than most CC creams. It covers most of my redness, but not freckles. And of course, it won't hide any raised blemishes or more noticeable skin issues. Those with very dry skin might find this a bit drying. While I have dry skin, I personally prefer a matte finish, so I'm enjoying this product. However, if that's not your preference, I'd strongly recommend testing it first to see if it suits your taste. I'm planning to stop using this alone during winter. I'm still experimenting with application methods. At first, I applied it with my fingers, but it didn't seem to adhere well to my skin (though it still provided some tone correction and coverage). Then I tried a damp makeup wedge, which helped it fit better to my face, but the coverage was reduced due to the thin application. Applying a small amount of primer or base before this product significantly improves its longevity. As a cushion foundation enthusiast, I've found that applying this first and then finishing with light dabs of cushion foundation not only improves staying power and coverage but also helps me use less of my cushion product, which is a bonus! - mi********Combination SkinSensitive SkinDec 10, 2015 (UTC+0)
I used this as my first base makeup product, and it naturally brightens my complexion without causing any blemishes. I'm really enjoying it! Being a CC cream, it does inevitably cause a bit of oxidation as the day goes on. The best way to use it is to store it in the fridge and then gently pat it on with your fingertips. It works wonders! - yo********Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcneMar 27, 2015 (UTC+0)
It feels more powdery than the previous version. That's the only positive I can mention. My pores appear more noticeable, and the coverage has become weaker.
