Hello there! I'm the Makeup Maniac Beauty Queen! This is a product I bought at Lalavla ages ago, lost, found again, and now I'm using it once more! First off, it has this delightfully fresh and sweet fruity scent. When you apply it, it really lifts your mood - I doubt anyone would dislike this fragrance. It feels like it's taming those dead skin cells. It provides a momentary oily-like moisturization, keeping your lips nice and hydrated. Comparing it to Nivea products, this one's a clear winner in my book. While Nivea tends to accentuate dead skin cells when applied to dry areas, this one actually calms them down! The quantity is quite generous too - it lasts for ages. The color and packaging are pretty, and it's convenient to carry around as well. (Feel free to ask any questions in the comments, I'll answer them all!) I wouldn't necessarily recommend buying this because: Firstly, the ingredients are really not great. It only temporarily masks the dead skin cells, rather than actually softening or dissolving them. Also, the container tends to collect a lot of dust, which seems unhygienic. The packaging itself looks quite flimsy too. If you have it at home, use it, but if not, don't go out of your way to buy it. Try melting it with some Vaseline in a small container - that might enhance its effectiveness. Make sure to apply it frequently! - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinJan 6, 2019
The refreshing grapefruit and citrus scent is absolutely delightful. It's not overly greasy or moisturizing, so you can apply it comfortably and layer a tint on top after a bit for a nice, subtle color. As someone with extremely dry, desert-like lips that are in a committed relationship with dead skin cells, I found it challenging to achieve the deep hydration needed to tame my flakiness. Hydration: Performs adequately as a lip balm Longevity: Average Scent: The 'Citrus Paradise' fragrance remained consistently satisfying throughout use Color: The base has a light coral-pink hue, similar to pale grapefruit, leaving a very subtle pink tint when applied Texture: Despite my tendency to run hot, it softens slightly but doesn't melt into a mess when kept in a pocket Packaging: No issues during use, with a well-fitting cap Quantity: Appears to be filled to capacity, which is satisfactory - Hwahae UserNormal SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinNov 19, 2018
First off, the fragrance is absolutely delightful. Plus, it's so moisturizing when applied, which I really appreciate. The staying power isn't great, so you need to reapply frequently. Also, it seems to slightly emphasize dead skin cells. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinNov 19, 2018
The initial scent was refreshingly pleasant. It's often on sale at Olive Young and other stores. The moisturizing power is average, I'd give it a 7 out of 10. Later on, the fragrance became unbearably unpleasant. I bought it because I liked the scent at first, but ended up throwing it away due to the same reason. Definitely not recommended. - Hwahae UserNormal SkinAtopy SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinOct 14, 2018
As someone who constantly battles dry lips, I'm always on the hunt for a good lip balm. I spotted this one at Watson's and decided to give it a try. I'm pleased to say it's wonderfully moisturizing and has a lovely scent. Perhaps due to my extremely dry lips, the staying power seems a bit lacking. There's also this odd sensation, almost as if it's causing dead skin cells to form on my lips...? It's just okay, nothing special. - Hwahae UserNormal SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinJun 7, 2017
The fragrance is extremely, extremely, extremely pleasant. A sweet grapefruit scent lingers. The fragrance may be too strong and cause headaches. The longevity and moisturizing power are disappointing. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinNov 10, 2016
1) The pleasant fragrance continues to rise up to my nose 2) The characteristic lip-gloss sheen is 'less' present 1) Even though blog reviews said the grapefruit scent was really nice, when I bought it, the scent was more like a Downy-like laundry detergent (not that the scent is bad, it's just disappointing that it's not grapefruit) 2) The lips do become moisturized, but it takes quite a while for it to be absorbed 3) Considering the 8,000 won price, it feels a bit of a waste, as there aren't many good points I purchased it from Watson's, and while the original price is 8,000 won, you can buy it for 4,000 won when it's on sale, so it's best to wait for those times The fragrance is decent, it's just a problem that it's not grapefruit - Hwahae UserCombination SkinOct 20, 2016
The fragrance is really nice and doesn't feel sticky or rub off right away, which I liked. If you have dry lips, this would be perfect. I've already bought it twice. When I applied it over a matte lip product like Woodbury, it lasted for about 6 hours - highly recommended. Due to the product design, the product sometimes doesn't go back in when you pull it out, but you can push it back in and it goes in quickly. When I applied it over a matte lip product like Woodbury, it lasted for about 6 hours - great! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinJul 26, 2016
I was tempted to buy it when I saw it at Watson's, and I'm so glad I did. The grapefruit scent wasn't too strong, which I really liked. To be honest, I find the Burt's Bees grapefruit scent only good at first, and it starts to feel a bit unpleasant if I keep smelling it. But this one has a subtle fragrance that I absolutely love. It's not at all overbearing. It's true that the lasting power and moisturizing ability are weaker compared to some other lip balm products. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAtopy SkinSensitive SkinDec 25, 2015
The stick form is convenient, and while the grapefruit scent is not entirely my preference, I found it pleasant enough. The case also aligns well with my taste, so I was quite satisfied with it. At the discounted price, it's a good value too! The smooth application of the stick was also a plus. To begin with, I got really upset as soon as I started using this product. The moment I applied it, my lips felt uncomfortably hot and stinging. I tried it out for the first time by applying it before bed on the first day, and the next day my lips were still slightly irritated. After that, I tried applying it a couple more times, but each time it just seemed to irritate my lips, so I gave up on getting used to it. Looking at it now, I can see there are quite a few undesirable ingredients. Secondly, the lip balm isn't very moisturizing. I'm not someone with severely chapped and dry lips, but even so, this just didn't cut it. It feels like my lips dry out again quickly, and the application doesn't leave them feeling very nourished either. While I don't have any special tips, I'd recommend looking into lip balms from other brands that are unscented and have gentler ingredients. I should probably do the same and find a better lip balm for myself.
