First off, I absolutely adore the cute packaging. The Face Shop used to have a similar lip balm, but it's been discontinued, so I couldn't get my hands on it. I'm thrilled that Skinfood offers a comparable product. What's great is that you can slather it on generously before bed for best results. The spatula is easy to misplace, so be careful not to lose it... For optimal benefits, apply a generous amount before going to sleep. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinSep 13, 2017
The fragrance was absolutely delightful, and the packaging was adorably cute and charming It felt like pouring oil on dry land - not very hydrating at all - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinFeb 28, 2017
It's moisturizing, and I love that the wooden applicator doesn't make my hands sticky! There's nothing particularly disappointing, but if I had to point out a drawback, it would be that it's a bit sticky. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinFeb 20, 2017
It seems to provide decent hydration, and the container size is perfect for popping into your purse. There's also a little applicator on the side, which is great for applying without using your fingers. Though I personally prefer using my hands over the applicator. The stickiness, which was more noticeable than the moisturizing effect, was the biggest letdown for me. It's fine for home use, but elsewhere it seems to create an excessive shine and feels like it's sitting on top of your lips rather than being absorbed. Even after applying before bed, I didn't wake up thinking, 'Wow, my dead skin cells have surfaced! Now I just need to exfoliate!' The hydration is okay, but it's too shiny to wear out and not quite moisturizing enough for overnight use. Another surprise was that the lip balm is actually yellow. I accidentally touched my lips while cleansing my face with toner and was confused when I saw the yellow color! This isn't exactly a pro tip, but I noticed that the yellow outer layer disappears the more you use the lip balm. Maybe it's because I'm not using the yellow applicator? That's why I prefer using my hands to apply it nicely rather than digging in with the applicator. Just make sure to wash your hands before applying. - r4*******Combination SkinAcne SkinJan 30, 2017
Perfect for applying before bed. It goes on incredibly smooth and moisturizing, like real honey. The packaging is delightfully princess-like! It doesn't completely tame dead skin cells... Even after applying, those pesky flakes come back to life the moment you put on lip tint. Make sure to apply a generous amount before going to sleep - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinAtopic SkinJan 14, 2017
It's a glossy lip product with great hydration, making it perfect for use on its own. When applied with the wand in gentle dabs to finish lip makeup, it doesn't ruin the lipstick underneath. It's disappointing that the ingredients include parabens. Also, having to clean the wand after each use can be a bit of a hassle. For a plump lip look, apply this as a finishing touch. It provides long-lasting hydration and looks beautiful. - ru********Dry SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsRednessDec 4, 2016
When absorbed, it leaves a pleasantly firm residue on the skin, which I personally enjoyed. The scent was nice too. I can't say it removes dead skin cells from the lips since I didn't have any, but it definitely tackles dryness effectively. Without the attached applicator, it's easy to misjudge the amount, and due to its non-sticky, truly honey-like texture, it can get messy. The applicator itself... it makes you wonder if applying lip balm really needs to be this cumbersome. In summary: it's a product that's inconvenient without the applicator, but annoying with it. Highly recommended for use at home. I suggest keeping a separate item for when you're out and about. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinOct 3, 2016
The best part was how moisturizing it felt. The wooden applicator made it easy to apply just the right amount. I have combination skin, and after applying this, I started getting tiny blemishes around my lips, along with some watery discharge and itching. I wouldn't recommend this if you have sensitive lips. - Hwahae UserNormal SkinSensitive SkinOct 1, 2016
Great as a protective layer or when applying makeup! The wooden honey dipper applicator feels a bit odd. A plastic one might have been better. This lip balm works wonderfully as a base before applying a tinted lip product! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinJun 11, 2016
I received this from my mom and tried it out. The moisturizing effect lasts incredibly long after just one application! If people with dry lips use it consistently for about a week whenever they feel dry, their lips become super soft and smooth! The honey applicator attached to it? You might lose the spreading stick. You can apply it with your fingers, but for those who dislike sticky feelings, I'd suggest either keeping the stick safe or maybe avoiding this product altogether.
