You can use a pencil brush to gently add shadow at the outer corners, or use it to slightly smudge above your eyeliner for a softer look.

There's nothing particularly bad about it. It's inevitable that the color fades a bit over time due to natural oils on the eyelids. In summer, applying too much shadow might make your eyes look heavy.

When applied, it doesn't give an overly intense color payoff. It's perfect for creating a subtle shadow at the outer corners of the eyes. I didn't get this recommended but picked it by chance, and it's become my favorite MAC eyeshadow color. The silver micro-shimmer is blended perfectly with the burgundy powder, so it doesn't interfere with creating a soft shadow effect.
