💙My Skin Type💙 I'm close to neutral, but it seems like I have combination skin... My T-zone is very oily and I sometimes get pimples. My pores aren't that big, but a lot of oil comes out... 💙Product Introduction💙 This product is a thin lotion with oil control function. It doesn't feel silky when applied, but there's a kind of thin film-like texture... It's not completely weightless, but there's a distinct feeling of having applied this product. The formula itself is lightweight, so it can be used comfortably as an emulsion. 💙How I Use It💙 Since it's an emulsion, it feels too light and lacks nourishment to use at night, so I use a different product for nighttime. But I don't use this during the day either! The distinct feeling of having this product on my bare face just doesn't appeal to me, and the typical European cosmetic scent is a dislike for me... So when do I use it then?! 💚I use it before makeup!! In my skincare routine, I apply it lightly, almost like a primer, focusing on my oily areas. I don't like doing a heavy skincare routine before makeup (my face already feels stuffy with just makeup, so layering multiple skincare products makes it feel too congested), so using this product as a primer-like step works really well for me! The oil control is a major concern, and I can definitely tell a difference when I use this product or not, so I always apply it to my T-zone, cheeks, and forehead, then use a hydrating cream or essence on my drier areas around the eyes and lips. This really helps keep the oil at bay, especially in the summer! It's an essential item for me in the summer, and I use it a lot in the winter too!

It's important to make sure this product absorbs well before applying makeup. If it doesn't play nicely with your base products or the creams you use on drier areas, it can cause pilling or flaking. The formula is quite thin, so the opening or cap can get messy over time. 🙁 The distinct European cosmetic scent is quite strong, which I'm not a fan of. I don't like overpowering floral fragrances either, but this one has a pretty bold aroma.

💙For those of you who use it like me, be sure to gently pat it in to avoid any pilling or flaking. And absolutely do not use too much!!!! If you use too much, your makeup will 100% end up pilling or flaking off. 💙It's important to dispense it onto the back of your hand first, then apply it thinly while adjusting the amount. Make sure it absorbs well. 💙And give it some time to "set" on your skin before applying anything else on top! (I do my whole skincare routine after showering, let my hair dry, then do my makeup) If it does start to pill, you may need to use less of it, especially in the areas you really need to apply it. ❤️ And since I only use it for makeup, the amount seems to last longer than the expiration, so if there's a smaller size available, I'd recommend getting that next time. ^.^

I'm using this product for my combination skin during the summer. I expected it to absorb oil and mattify, but that's not the case. Even with a bit of dry skin, it works great as a summer lotion.

The product has a nice, smooth application! It was effective in reducing acne. It helped to prevent new acne from forming, but was less effective on existing acne.
Cons
It is not effective for dry skin and closed comedones. Even though I didn't apply too much, it still feels heavy and clogged on the skin.

It's decent... It's really decent for acne-prone skin! I'm the type who has sensitive skin and gets acne breakouts every cycle, and while using this doesn't mean no acne at all, it does seem to reduce the frequency of breakouts.

Highly effective for inflammatory acne! Using it morning and evening for 3 days almost completely calms it down!!! I've tried all sorts of basic and spot care products for the acne that always pops up, but this is the real deal in terms of fast soothing effects!!! It's ineffective for closed comedones. But as it's a sebum-controlling product, the frequency of closed comedones appearing is reduced!
Cons
It cakes... I do pay attention to managing my dead skin, but it seems there's a combination that just doesn't work for me. I always use a primer before makeup, but I don't use it before makeup because it cakes. Even some water toners make it cake. Also, while I understand it controls sebum, the dryness! Afterwards, even creams cake, so I only apply the ones that don't cake. It's too drying for consistent use, so I only use it when I have inflammatory acne!

I was stressed out because I developed adult acne, but using this product has helped me calm down and improve my skin condition. My skin is combination/oily, and even the slightest mismatch can cause breakouts, but this product is oil-free. It feels moisturizing without being thick or heavy. I've been using it daily even in the summer, and it's become a product I love.
Cons
Since this was developed for acne-prone skin, it can feel a bit tightening when I use it now. I can apply a moisturizer on top, but if I put on makeup after using this, the makeup can feel a bit uneven. So I wouldn't recommend this for winter makeup routines.
Tip
I use this as a daytime product, and at night I use the Avène Cleanance Cleansing Gel along with it. My acne has calmed down and my skin feels so smooth. I've become an Avène fan, using their mist and other products. In the evenings or when my skin feels dry, I finish with the CPI cream.
