If you're looking for a moisturizer to boost hydration, I wouldn't recommend this oil-rich cream.

I thought Skinfood's tomato line would be perfect for combination and oily skin types, so I assumed it would naturally suit my skin, which is oily in the T-zone and dry elsewhere. I bought it to use as a hydrating moisturizer, but this product seemed to have more oil than moisture. After applying, it felt heavy rather than light on my skin. My skin tends to break out when I use products with high oil content, and sure enough, this product caused my skin to completely flare up. I ended up visiting a dermatologist and quickly switched back to my previous skincare routine.

I honestly can't think of anything positive to say about this product...

The whitening effect is questionable. If you enjoy dissolving granules, you might like it, but I find it bothersome.

The scent is totally my style. I'm using it like a perfume. I was so curious about what fragrance it is that I even came to Hwahae to find out.

I thought my face was flaking and peeling due to the dry weather, but this product was the culprit. For 2-3 months, it was fine when I applied it only in the evening. But when I started using it morning and night to finish it faster, I couldn't handle the dead skin cells around my eyes, nose, cheeks, and chin. It became increasingly itchy and tingly, which made me realize this wasn't just a hydration issue. Early signs of atopic dermatitis started appearing on my chin. After switching to a different gentle moisturizer, it's improving, but very slowly. I was so angry I came to write a review, only to find many others suffered the same fate... How frustrating. My face is still so itchy while using this.

At first, it felt quite hydrating. It was decent initially. Why do they keep telling me to use more when there's nothing good about it?!

Only apply it at night. Naturally, if you use it during the day before makeup, it will cause pilling.

Vitamin C also brightens the face, but it's slower than this tomato cream.
Arbutin was effective for dark circles and pigmentation, but didn't affect overall skin tone.
Unfortunately, I didn't see much effect from niacinamide.

If you have oily skin, this might feel a bit heavy. I think you'd need to use just a small amount!

Those olive-like capsules are quite hard and don't break easily, so you have to keep rolling them on your skin, which might cause some irritation. Also, when applied in the morning, you can find residue from burst capsules scattered across your face, which is a bit disappointing.

When I apply this generously at night and wake up in the morning, my skin has a beautiful glow and feels incredibly hydrated and bright. It absorbs well, provides excellent hydration, and seems to maintain a good oil and moisture balance. I've been using it only on my face, and the difference in tone between my face and neck is quite noticeable! With consistent use, you'll likely notice your complexion becoming brighter over time.
