It's hydrating and doesn't emphasize dead skin cells. It gives your skin a luminous glow. If you already have good skin, this could help you achieve that coveted 'honey skin' look. It absorbs well and has a refreshing feel when applied. It feels like it's packed with essence. It doesn't work well with oily skin types. The makeup tends to break down easily and doesn't adhere well to the skin. - Hwahae UserDry SkinMar 30, 2019
I was surprised at first because even a light dab on the puff picked up a lot of product. You really need to control the amount well. It's quite moisturizing and doesn't settle into lines, so it's fairly usable. It accentuates dead skin cells, and while my cheeks usually don't look cakey, this product makes even that area look patchy. It transfers a lot too... It comes off so much that powder is absolutely necessary, and you need to touch up with powder frequently and thoroughly. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinJan 10, 2018
I have oily skin, but matte cushions often leave me feeling dry and suffocated. That's why I've been using this hydrating cushion for two years now! It's relatively affordable, and it provides a dewy finish. Even when it starts to wear off, it does so in a natural-looking way. The coverage is a bit lacking. But then again, that might be expected from a hydrating cushion. The adherence to the skin isn't particularly impressive either! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinNov 13, 2017
It was good I continue to use it, I like it!!!! It's a bit dry and tends to be drying. Those with dry skin, be careful. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinOct 3, 2017
The application feels really moisturizing, and it can create a dewy, luminous complexion. Well, this doesn't seem like a proper cushion at all, as the coverage is practically non-existent. It could be due to my skin type, but the shade 23 is definitely not a good match for me - it's too bright, maybe around 22? The adhesion and longevity are just so-so, not great but not terrible either. I had to use it a couple of times, then mostly relied on it for touch-ups, as the coverage is just way too sheer. Even with my face not having too much to cover, like just a bit of redness, it just gave a luminous, tinted effect, rather than actual coverage. This has been the cushion with the least coverage I've tried so far. It seems okay for touch-ups, though. - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinAcne SkinSep 4, 2017
The texture is moist and not too thick, which seems great. It applies well to the skin. The coverage and longevity are quite disappointing. After an hour or two, it becomes shiny and oily. Also, I often get some kind of irritation or breakouts on the days I use it, so I don't use it often. What a waste of money. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinJul 21, 2017
I highly recommend this for touch-up makeup! If you like a hydrated and glowing skin expression, it's great! It's too oily and the adhesion is poor for summer use ㅠㅠ - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinJul 15, 2017
It's so moisturizing! When you build a solid skincare routine, you'll get that dewy glow~ Your skin looks great!! When you don't do your skincare properly, your makeup gets patchy and the darkening is just so, so severe....it even looks painful? And you get nail marks too ㅠㅠ Since the undereye darkening is severe, apply concealer first and gently pat it in ㅎㅋㅋ - Hwahae UserOily SkinSensitive SkinJul 2, 2017
This is a moisturizing, porous 22nd Autumn Warm Tone product. As it's an essence cushion, it looks dewy and healthy without looking too greasy. It applies lightly and thinly. Since I have porous skin and wrinkles, most products tend to settle into my skin, but this one doesn't. That's the best part for me. The 23rd shade is a bit lighter than I expected, so the 22nd shade would be perfect for someone like me. Some say it has a grayish tone that's typical of Missha, but I don't really notice it on my face. If anything, that grayish tone seems to make my skin tone look a bit more calm and composed. It's a moisturizing product that applies lightly, but the longevity is poor and it can darken. Touch-ups are necessary. Since it sweats off a bit, it can get wiped away. The coverage for blemishes is also on the weaker side (but it's fine for redness and dark circles). It's a bit sticky, so hair can get stuck to it. And the adhesion isn't perfect. For those who consider these two factors important, this might not be the best option. However, I find that when the blemish coverage is too good, it can make me look older. So when I really need to cover blemishes, I use a concealer. Also, if you apply too many base products or don't remove the oiliness after sunscreen, it can get really sticky. This product has very high sun protection, so you only need to apply a thin layer of sunscreen. Be sure to blot away any excess oil with oil blotting paper. When I use this product, I keep my base very light and make sure it absorbs well, which helps with the staying power. I think this would be great to use in the winter when my skin isn't as oily. For my sweaty self, it's not the best option in the summer, aside from the high sun protection. - Hwahae UserNormal SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinApr 15, 2017
Even though I have acne-prone skin, I never got to try the essence cushion. But after seeing beauty YouTubers use it, I was really tempted by the skin expression, so I ended up buying it. 1. Skin expression is great. It feels moisturizing without being burdensome, and my skin looks bright and neatly groomed, which I really liked. 2. It's very affordable when on sale. 3. It's a real gem for covering redness. It works amazingly well. As long as you adjust the application, it can naturally cover small acne while also controlling redness. 1. I'm shade 23, and my skin isn't particularly dark, but if I fail to adjust the application, it can look overly bright and unnatural. And the areas with acne tend to stand out more than the areas without. 2. If you have acne that is particularly concentrated in one area of the face or if you have very large blemishes, that area may still stand out. 3. It covers redness and flushing well, but the coverage for other areas is lacking. It leaves a somewhat essence-like finish. 3. Relatively, the lasting power is not as impressive as a typical essence cushion. I had to dab it with the puff to retouch it so it wouldn't look overly white. I'd most recommend this to those who are mainly concerned about redness, not so much about breakouts. I'd also recommend it to those who get stressed out trying to base their makeup due to small blemishes and redness. I have a friend whose skin is quite fair, and she said shade 23 is slightly dark for her. She's tried several cushions from other brands, and 23 is the one that doesn't stand out on her. Based on this, I personally think that unless your skin is extremely fair or flour-like, shade 23 should be a normal fit.
