I used to think that expensive products were the only way to go, especially after trying the Inni** Green Tea Moisturizer (which was highly rated on a show) and experiencing deep dryness. I thought, 'Ah, cheap products just don't cut it!' But after using high-end products for a while, I decided to give affordable options another shot to save some money. After extensive research, I found this cream at a great price during the 11.11 sale. I'm now on my fourth jar and couldn't be more satisfied! As someone with dry skin, I need to moisturize immediately after cleansing. Throughout the winter, I didn't experience any dryness while using this. Now that it's getting warmer, I apply a thin layer and pat it in for absorption. As someone who rarely switches up their skincare, I can confidently say I'm sticking with the Scinic Horse Oil Cream!
ConsIf you apply too much, it can pill. That's why I slather it on generously at night, even down to my neck, for maximum hydration. In the morning, I apply a thin layer and pat it in gently.
TipAt night, apply generously for intense hydration! In the morning, use a thin layer and pat it in to prevent makeup from pilling!

While it's not super rich in oils, the way it absorbs is absolutely fantastic for its price point.
ConsIt seems to cause some pilling with makeup. Might be best to use this only in the evening routine, unfortunately.
TipFor those with extremely dry skin, mixing it with a facial oil might work wonders.

There's still so much left! It's my first time using a horse oil cream, and I haven't experienced any blemishes.
ConsWhen I rub it in after applying, it pills like dead skin cells. I thought it might be because I applied too much, but it happens even with a small amount. So I only use it at night. For my skincare routine, I apply toner and then either this cream or an emulsion, not both.

There's a fresh scent which I personally find appealing. It doesn't cause any blemishes, so I'm using it comfortably.
ConsI prefer creams with a thicker consistency, so I was a bit disappointed that this felt lighter than expected. Also, when applied before makeup, it tends to pill, so I only use it before bed.

This cream changed my perception of affordable skincare. After excessive exfoliation left my eyelids swollen, red, and painfully dry, I struggled to find a moisturizer that didn't cause a burning sensation. Even tears would form when I applied anything. Vaseline was the only thing that didn't irritate my skin, but it wasn't enough. Then I discovered that ceramides didn't cause irritation, so I bought this horse oil cream with ceramides. I chose Scinic's affordable horse oil cream over high-end brands, thinking I could use it on my body if it irritated my face. But it turned out to be my holy grail cream... Despite my combination dehydrated skin, it doesn't make me greasy. It's moisturizing and didn't sting or hurt even when applied to my damaged skin. With continued use, my skin's condition improved. I'm now on my 5th bottle, even after my face healed. I have blemish-prone skin, but this doesn't cause breakouts. My sister, who also has acne-prone skin and used to swear by 100% hydration products, was skeptical about using oils. But after trying it once when her skin was flaky, she bought her own. I think this would be great for those with dry or combination dehydrated skin.
ConsThere are hardly any downsides, honestly! While I haven't tried high-end horse oil creams (which might be even better), this one works perfectly for me and is more than sufficient. The only thing to note is that, due to my combination dehydrated skin, if I apply too much before makeup, it can cause pilling because of its slight oiliness. You need to apply just a tiny bit and let it absorb fully before applying makeup. However, when I use it at night, I wake up with skin that's soft, moisturized, and not at all greasy!
TipI highly recommend this for anyone who has damaged their skin barrier through over-exfoliation, like I did. Also, for those with extremely dry skin or flakiness, try this routine: after cleansing in the evening, apply a generous amount and let it absorb. Then, before bed, apply another thick layer like a sleeping pack.

It's great for instantly moisturizing dry areas. You can really feel the immediate hydrating effect when applied to parched skin.
ConsIt feels a bit oily, so it might be best suited for winter use only. If you apply makeup right after using this, your foundation might pill (it takes a while to absorb completely). I recommend using it only before bed. Be careful when applying around the eyes as it might cause a slight stinging sensation. While it gives a nice glow on the surface, it doesn't feel like it deeply hydrates. Those with dehydrated skin might not experience significant moisturizing effects.
TipYou can get it at a slightly lower price on 11st.
