The formulation has tiny granules that burst and provide depth. There was no discomfort when applying, and it was absorbed smoothly during rolling, which I was very satisfied with. First, the roughened skin texture becomes smoothly refined. Scooping it 2-3 times into the palm and absorbing it thoroughly makes the skin texture much softer and more refined. Next, the complexion looks clearer! The complexion looks clearer, making the skin look radiant. Using the Guerlain Abeille Royale Serum has made my complexion clearer, so I'm satisfied enough not to need foundation. Due to the firm and bouncy skin texture, even with makeup, the foundation doesn't settle into pores or clump or crack. The moisturizing effect lasts long, so the skin doesn't feel tight, and the makeup doesn't lift or clump, maintaining the morning condition, which seems to be why I keep using it. i am using the product with satisfaction, so there is no particular point of dissatisfaction. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinApr 16, 2021
I'm a huge fan of Guerlain's Abeille Royale Oil, so I had high hopes when I purchased this product. Here's what I loved about it: 1. It's not too heavy, even for oily skin 2. It absorbs well into the skin 3. It's light enough to wear in the morning without feeling greasy Compared to the Abeille Royale, I didn't experience the same dramatic satisfaction. I'm not sure... in terms of firmness, nourishment, hydration... nothing really stood out as exceptional. It just felt rather average overall. - Hwahae UserNormal SkinSensitive SkinAtopic SkinRecommendedDec 9, 2020
The morning after using it, my skin texture is noticeably different. I tried a sample, fell in love, and had to buy the full size! The only downside is the price. I'll have to stock up during sales or at duty-free shops. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinRecommendedSep 6, 2019
Among Guerlain's serums, I think this one is the best. Three pumps of this, and you might not even need to apply cream. I've tried all of Guerlain's other serums and settled on this one. I'm on my third bottle now. The price is steep, I'll admit. However, personally, I find it more effective than the Double R serum, and the pump dispenses evenly without any splashing. After applying a watery oil, followed by this serum, you hardly need any other skincare products. - Hwahae UserNormal SkinSensitive SkinAug 22, 2019
I love how it absorbs instantly when applied. There's hardly any greasy feeling. I've used it for quite a while, but I didn't feel like it made a remarkable difference. It's a bit disappointing considering the price. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedMay 30, 2019
After applying, I love the firm feeling it gives. When I wake up in the morning, my skin feels more plump! I find this whole line suits me well, so I'm using it regularly. It's hydrating, and I absolutely adore that firm sensation it provides. They say the capsules burst when pumped, making it fresher. I'm quite satisfied with it! It's on the pricier side, which is a downside. Also, I'm not a fan of skincare products with shimmer in them, so that aspect wasn't to my liking. The shimmer comes out a bit grainy, which is unfortunate. For an even firmer skin feel, try using it together with Abei Royal Oil! - 9_*****Combination SkinApr 17, 2019
It absorbs well and feels light on the skin. After application, my complexion feels refreshed. A lot of gold powder residue remains on my hands. I'm not sure if it's worth the price. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedMar 12, 2019
Despite having sensitive skin, it doesn't seem to cause much irritation. It applies smoothly, absorbs well, and doesn't feel sticky. The price is quite steep compared to its performance. I'm on my third bottle, but while my skin seemed to improve with the first one, I haven't noticed any dramatic changes with continued use. I think it's time to stop using it. - ti**********Dry SkinSensitive SkinAtopic SkinMar 4, 2019
I love how it's refreshing, absorbs well, and doesn't leave my skin greasy or sticky. My Guerlain sister said it's good for skin scars (atopy) too, so I bought it and tried it. It's not bad at all. It didn't cause any burning sensation or redness, and as for wrinkle improvement... well, that's debatable. The price, haha! And wow, there are more not-so-great ingredients than I expected. I don't think I've seen any amazing results considering the cost. I think it works well when used together with Abeille Royale Oil. - Hwahae UserNormal SkinAcne SkinRecommendedJan 17, 2019
It's refreshing and lightweight. I wouldn't recommend it to those who prefer rich textures, as it's quite mild. On days when I'm too lazy to apply makeup or cream, I just use this alone before heading out. On regular skincare days, I use it as a base layer. Don't think of it as a moisturizer - it's more of a light foundation for your skincare routine. It's gentle on the skin and leaves a subtle golden shimmer when applied. Don't worry, it's not overly glittery or noticeable. I've probably gone through at least 20-30 bottles of this. I took a picture with some old ones I haven't thrown away yet. I really should dispose of them this time... One downside is that the product at the very bottom doesn't come up even when you pump it. Fortunately, the top part can be unscrewed, so you can open it and scrape out the remaining product. Since it's expensive, it's worth the effort to use every last bit. Many people might find this too light to use on its own. If you're considering buying it solely for hydration, I'd recommend trying it at a department store first. Personally, I enjoy using light products occasionally, so it works well for me.
