I had given up on eyeliners altogether until I found this one. To be honest, it doesn't smudge at all! I don't line my waterline, so I can't speak to how it performs there. However, when I apply it to my lash line (except the outer corners), it stays put beautifully. The color is a perfect brown - not too dark and not too light. When I use black eyeliner, my eyes look heavy, but this one defines my eyes just right without overwhelming them.
ConsWhen the eyeliner is almost finished and there's not much product left, it tends to apply a bit patchy. Other than that, I'm satisfied!
TipI usually apply eyeliner over eyeshadow. If you don't clean the tip regularly, eyeshadow residue can build up over time. So, make sure to wipe the tip clean frequently!

I originally switched from Tony Moly's gel liner when I started going for a more natural makeup look. At first, I bought it without much expectation during a The Face Shop sale, but it's truly become my holy grail! Even my sister, who used to use other brands, tried mine and switched over. She swears there's nothing better. First off, the staying power is incredible. With other liners, I'd end up looking like a panda, but this one doesn't budge from my eye area at all. Regardless of whether my face gets oily or dry throughout the day, it just stays put. Even if I play in water with makeup on, as long as I don't rub it, it stays perfectly in place. The color payoff is great too. It's not too brown or too black - just a perfectly natural, beautiful brown. It looks even better if you pat some powder on your eyelids before applying. And while it's a brush pen, (in my opinion) it's neither too thin nor too thick, and not too blunt either. So even beginners should be able to draw a good line. Best of all, it lasts forever! My sister and I share one, and even though we mostly just draw the tail of the eyeliner, it seems to last about 4-5 months? When there's a buy-one-get-one-free deal, stock up, I beg you!
Cons- Sometimes it doesn't come out well, and if you force it, it can pill. If you shake it well and make sure the brush is sufficiently saturated, it works fine. - Occasionally, if glitter eyeshadow gets on the brush, it can dry out and stop dispensing product well. In that case, wipe it once with a toner-soaked cotton pad, shake it, and it should work well again.
TipIf you set your eyelids with powder to control oil, it lasts even longer!

It's the only pen liner I use. The thickness is easily adjustable! I have particularly oily eyelids and my eyes tend to stick together when I smile, causing most liners to smudge, but this one doesn't - it's amazing! Yet it's still easy to remove during cleansing. Even if it does smudge a bit, it doesn't create that messy, dark smear like other pen liners. It's more like it... flakes off? Or slides? Haha. This makes touch-ups super easy - just wipe with a cotton swab and redraw! The brown shade is neither too dark nor too light, the color payoff is great, and it's perfect for beginners too.
ConsThe text on the packaging rubs off easily, haha! Unlike other pen liners, it tends to flake off rather than smudge, as I mentioned. But if you keep reapplying to touch up, it can build up and cause the tip of your eyeliner to disappear.
TipSometimes, even when you haven't used it much, the brush tip can get clumpy and the product stops flowing smoothly. When this happens, don't panic! Just wipe the brush with a wet wipe and use it again. It'll work like new!

It's just an ordinary, run-of-the-mill eyeliner.
Cons1. It's not waterproof, so it fades a bit over time. 2. It doesn't apply well over base makeup. You need to test it on the back of your hand to make sure it's coming out properly before applying. 3. The more you try to apply it, the more it seems to fade away... What's up with that? 4. As you draw, the product builds up and smudges, turning into a mess... Sigh...

ConsIt was a bit difficult to judge its longevity. Rather than smudging, it felt like the product itself was shifting

ConsThe black shade applies smoothly, but the brown doesn't glide on well and tends to smudge and fade when layered

Even though it dries a bit when closed, a quick swipe brings it back to life, and the brush doesn't harden, which is great. It dries so quickly, which is super convenient. While it might be a bit tougher to remove than liquid liners, the fast-drying formula and ease of application make it my go-to!
ConsThe color is quite light, so I find myself constantly reapplying. The issue is, whether there's oil or not, reapplying causes the existing line to smudge and disappear (!!!). So sometimes I end up having to redraw the entire line... The brush also dries out quickly. A few swipes on the back of my hand bring it back, but I end up with dark marks on my hand every time I do my makeup.
TipSince it's a bit light, I sometimes use it as a sketch before applying liquid liner.

It's really useful for creating clean, sharp wing tips. Overall, it's a solid, reliable product that gets the job done.
ConsSince I layer various products on my eyes, it tends to break up when drawing and clumps if I try to reapply, causing it to smudge off. The brush dries out quickly, so I find myself having to swipe it elsewhere multiple times while using it.

It dries quickly, and even though I have combination skin, it doesn't smudge or fade easily. I really like that it stays put.
ConsI used this last year, switched to something else, and then came back to it, but for some reason, it doesn't seem to apply as well as before. The biggest drawback I've noticed is that when I try to layer it or go over a line I've already drawn, it pills up and flakes off, which is really frustrating. I keep testing it on the back of my hand when it's not coming out well, but it seems to have particular trouble applying smoothly on my eyes. I won't be repurchasing this and will probably just go back to Kiss Me...
TipWhen I bought this, the sales associate suggested turning it upside down if it's not coming out well, but that didn't really help much...

The brush size is just right. I did a hand swatch test comparing it to other products, and while others smudged along my hand wrinkles and came off easily even after setting, this one didn't budge or smear at all! When I applied it to my eyes, it held up amazingly well. I have combination dehydrated skin with an oily outer area, but this product seems to be resistant to oil. It's not even advertised as waterproof, but it performs like one! I'm really enjoying using this product. The brown shade is perfectly formulated - I absolutely love the color (I only use brown eyeliners).
ConsYou need to be careful about closing the cap tightly. There was one time I didn't close it quickly enough, and after that, the product seemed to come out a bit dry. It also seems like the liquid doesn't flow as smoothly over time. Additionally, if you touch it before it sets, it might smudge a little. After it sets, if you try to draw over the line again, it's fine if the product comes out smoothly, but if it doesn't, the line might become less defined.
TipIf the product isn't coming out well, try applying a bit to your fingernail first to check if it's flowing properly before using it on your eyes. This should solve any issues. (I suggest using your fingernail because it's easier to clean off than the back of your hand.) The photos below show a comparison of two products swatched on the back of my hand after rubbing them vigorously. Please note that the photos came out quite bright, but the actual product color is a darker brown.
