When my pores get clogged, I immediately get breakouts, and even when I apply moisturizing ingredients, I still get breakouts - it's like my skin is crazy. I was a bit hesitant about using oils, but this one doesn't cause any breakouts. There's also no itchiness that I sometimes feel when using creams or heavier lotions. When I apply this oil, it absorbs quickly within a few minutes. It also keeps my skin at just the right moisture level, and my makeup doesn't get cakey. When I used tamanu oil, it made my sunscreen look uneven, but this oil doesn't do that.
Cons
I wasn't aware of this, but this oil contains retinol. Those of you using bha, be careful. My skin is extremely sensitive, so when I use 0.5% stridex and leave it on for 5 minutes (it gets quite irritating after 5 minutes), then apply rosehip oil, and a few days later apply the stridex again, it becomes really irritating and I struggle with redness for days. It turned out the retinol in this oil was the culprit. One time I applied a bit too much (around 4-5 drops) directly on bare skin, and my skin almost got bright red. So be mindful of the amount you use.

You can apply this oil after your serum, either by gently layering it on top or by mixing it in. My personal optimal amount is two drops.
