Pros
It applies moisturizing and has good lasting power. I bought it because the color is so beautiful.

The lip product is amazing. It applies smoothly and has excellent pigmentation. Just one swipe of the Nars Velvet Matte Lip Pencil makes my face glow like a fluorescent light.

After application, it quickly becomes matte. For someone like me with dry skin, it can slightly accentuate flakiness. Other reviews mention it's quickly pigmented and doesn't transfer, but I don't find it to be that extreme.
Tip
Since I have dry skin, I apply a generous amount of lip balm as a base, and then just lightly blot the excess shine after the base is done. Applying it in a gradient helps it look more radiant. This works well in the summer, but during other seasons, I need to add a touch of lip gloss to prevent it from feeling too dry.
