  Pros

  I tried this product after using Estée Lauder's Matte Perfecting Primer! While the Estée Lauder primer made my skin feel powdery, this one instantly makes it feel moisturized and silky smooth. It's so velvety that I can't stop touching my face! I'm sure anyone who's tried it will agree - it really makes your skin feel incredibly soft. Even if you apply foundation haphazardly on top, it still manages to create a silky, flawless finish. Overall, I'm very satisfied with this product!

  Cons

  As someone with combination to oily skin, I find it a bit too rich for summer use. I'd highly recommend this for those with dry skin. It seems to focus more on enhancing the application of subsequent products rather than specifically targeting pores and texture. I wouldn't recommend it to those with severe pore or texture issues. In summer, I prefer the Estée Lauder Matte Perfecting Primer, but this product was my go-to during winter!

  Pros

  My pores are so wide that without primer, they look like sinkholes. This product fills them in nicely. The scent is a bit unique, but I consider it Yves Saint Laurent's signature fragrance. I love how a small amount spreads easily, so I'm using it regularly.

  It has a slightly rich texture, so when you pat or rub it with a puff, there's a bit of a slippery feeling.

  Pros

  I initially thought this product would be similar to Guerlain's base with gold pearls. While passing by the department store, I tried it on the back of my hand... and wow! I found myself drawn into the store, mesmerized. The finish is so different from Guerlain's product. While Guerlain has a serum-like, moisturizing finish, this one leaves your skin feeling silky smooth. I was truly impressed! Curious about how it would look under foundation, I removed my makeup to test it. I applied this primer on one half of my face after skincare, and just skincare on the other half, then used the same foundation on both sides for a fair comparison. The difference in skin texture was clear, and I immediately decided to buy it! The moment you apply this product, your skin becomes silky soft. When you put on foundation (I use a flat brush), it spreads thinly and lightly with excellent adherence. As the name suggests, it does function as a primer. It smooths out skin texture and covers pores, though it may not completely hide very large pores. This product seems to focus on both creating a smooth base and providing overall even skin texture, rather than just pore coverage. You can use it all over your face, but a little goes a long way. If you have large pores, I recommend using a stronger pore-focused primer in those areas before applying this product. Overall, I'm very satisfied with it!

  The price is the downside. Also, I have combination to oily skin, so those with oily skin might find it a bit rich during summer. I bought it in winter when my skin was dry, so it works well for me.

  Tip

  For those wanting perfect pore coverage: Apply sunscreen, then a small amount of pore-specific primer on problem areas, followed by a thin layer of this product all over, and finish with foundation or cushion.

  Pros

  I'm already on my third bottle of this product. Before using this, I had tried most of the famous primers out there. Usually, after applying skincare and primer, depending on the formula, there would often be pilling or poor coverage of skin texture. However, this product doesn't pill, covers texture well, and even has a sparkly effect due to the gold-like particles inside, which I love. It's especially great for my combination skin, as it covers different areas of my face equally well despite varying conditions and sensitivities across seasons. Above all, it's not sticky, feels silky, and has a slight hydration that makes it pleasant to apply.

  Cons

  The main drawback is the somewhat high price point. Also, for those with oily or combination skin, especially in the T-zone where oil production is higher, the slightly oily feel might lead to increased shine over time.

  Tip

  It works best when applied to areas outside the T-zone, or when used very sparingly and thinly on the T-zone.

  I bought this because the packaging is so pretty. When you squeeze out a pea-sized amount and apply it, it feels wonderfully silky and doesn't pill at all.

  Cons

  The quantity is too small for the price, and it doesn't last long... It doesn't cover pores well either. And it's an oil slick!

  Tip

  Not recommended for summer use. I'd suggest using it in dry winter months instead.

  I ordered this after hearing rave reviews from colleagues when I worked at a L'Oreal subsidiary. It's great for pre-makeup application. This product is ideal for those with uneven complexion or those who prefer using lighter foundation shades to match a brighter neck tone. Note: As a male user, my experience might differ from women's.

  Cons

  Glad I only bought the travel size... This isn't for those blessed with naturally good skin texture, and it doesn't really cover pores. Try a sample before buying if possible. Some reviews mention a sudden oil explosion - they're right. Despite its initial matte finish, you might find yourself looking bare-faced out of nowhere.

  Tip

  Now I use the leftover product for touch-ups. If you're looking for an all-over primer, consider NARS Smooth & Protect Primer. Anyway, I prefer the white SPF 50 version. While its ingredients were criticized on Hwahae, personally, after trying most department store primers, I found NARS to be the best.
