I really liked the fresh yet moisturizing feel after using this product. As someone with oily skin, especially now that it's getting warmer and my sebum production is increasing, I found this lightweight cleansing product to be perfect since I was hesitant to use oily cleansers. The cleansing effectiveness is great for most foundations, eyeshadows, and brow products. However, since it doesn't contain oil, it doesn't completely remove my Kiss Me eyeliner - it tends to flake off rather than coming off cleanly. My routine is cleansing water followed by foam cleanser. While a low pH foam cleanser removes all base makeup, without using a separate remover, some eyeliner remains around the eyes. Of course, you could scrub more, but that might irritate the delicate eye area and isn't very effective. So, I've found the best route with minimal irritation is: remover (eyes, brows, lips) -> cleansing water (rest of face) -> foam cleanser. For foundation, one well-soaked cotton pad (using both sides) usually removes most of it, but you know how there's always a bit left if you use a fresh pad? I avoid using multiple pads to minimize irritation, so I recommend using one pad (both sides), then following up with a water rinse and foam cleanser. I've been using this cleansing routine for about 8-9 months now, and it's been a game-changer after years of using only oil cleansers. With oils, I used to worry about pollution, so I'd wipe once, then use oil, then foam cleanse to remove residue - but my skin always felt tight afterwards. I knew it was too much, but I couldn't skip any steps. Since changing my routine, my face doesn't feel tight at all, and I'm extremely satisfied. I highly recommend this cleansing routine for those with very oily, acne-prone skin! Plus, you can get it at a great price during sales! And the sale periods are quite long, so it's a real bargain!
The Kiss Me eyeliner flakes off and is difficult to remove cleanly. While an oil-based remover can take it off in one go, using only cleansing water requires multiple wipes, which can irritate the eye area. Also, to thoroughly remove face makeup with just this product, you'd need to use two or three cotton pads (both sides), which could be irritating. I recommend using just one pad and following up with a foam cleanser!
Try this routine: remover (eyes, brows, lips) -> cleansing water -> foam cleanser. It's gentle on the skin and increases product efficiency! Use an oil-based remover, and you don't need a strong foam cleanser - even a mild one will effectively remove any remaining residue. Instead of focusing on cleansing power for your foam cleanser, opt for a moisturizing, low pH product that comes out as foam rather than one you lather yourself. This will leave your skin clean without any tightness!
