  It's great to use in the winter, even though it's for dry skin. I use it not only in the winter, but also from late September to mid-May. It gives a transparent and glossy look to the skin.   Even though I built a solid foundation with a hydrating base, over time it tends to absorb and become flaky. However, this foundation seems to be quite moisturizing and has good coverage, even compared to cream foundations.
