ConsThe only downside is that the scent is not very pleasant, and it stings a bit at first, but other than that, there are no issues.

After the peeling, my skin texture became smoother and the bumps went away. I'll definitely repurchase this product!
ConsIt stung and burned, and the fragrance was not great. I was really worried it would irritate my skin. Sensitive skin types should be cautious with this.
TipI applied aloe vera gel a few times as a soothing treatment and fanned my face, which helped reduce the heat sensation. I was able to sleep well. If you're worried about irritation, make sure to use a gentle, soothing cream or product you know works well for your skin beforehand.

Since my skin is sensitive, I would usually get some redness with other exfoliators, but this one didn't do that. The next day, my skin looked brighter and felt smoother.
ConsThe smell is really unpleasant, so I always have to hold my nose when using it. It also stings a bit when applying, but I didn't get any breakouts.
TipRight now, it's 50% off at Olive Young!

The skin texture becomes soft. The makeup applies well the next day.
ConsSlightly unpleasant odor. A slight stinging sensation in the troubled areas. It would be better if there were more cotton swabs left in the solution.
TipUse the remaining solution by applying it to cotton pads or swabs. After using this, apply the 23 years old cream and see a whole new world the next day. Since it's drying, you must apply a generous amount of moisturizer.

When I first used it for 1-2 weeks, after using it, 1) my makeup seemed to come off, 2) my skin texture seemed to become rougher, 3) and blemishes seemed to come up, but not severely, so I persisted and used it once a week. At some point, 1) all my closed comedones disappeared, 2) my blackheads were greatly reduced, 3) and most importantly, my skin became incredibly smooth... When I first started using it, I used it once a week and did an extra exfoliation in between, but now this product alone is sufficient. I love it so much that I'm going back to Olive Young to buy more since it's 50% off!
ConsThe smell... however, it has a lot of fragrance so it gives me a headache and is more unpleasant than the average cosmetic product. I quickly swipe it on and then apply other cosmetics, so the unpleasant smell gets covered up. But after continuous use, you get used to the smell.
TipAfter using the product, your skin may become dry, so be sure to hydrate thoroughly!!! I slather on aloe vera gel, do a face mask, and then apply cream & 3 drops of oil~ Then the next day, my skin is glowing and smooth, and the blemishes are gone!

But my skin is very sensitive, so AHA and BHA might not suit me. I was hesitant to buy an expensive product, but this Philosophy cotton swab product has AHA and BHA ingredients and was only 3,900 won on sale, so I thought I'd try it and throw it away if it didn't work... Wow.....I've discovered a whole new world of exfoliation! At first, I wondered if this was really exfoliating, but the next morning, the big pimples on my face had calmed down and the pain was much less (the pimples were so painful to touch the day before). When I touch my face, it feels so smooth and polished, and the small bumpy acne has disappeared! I think I understand now why people are so crazy about AHA and BHA. Before, I tried a 5% AHA cream sample from Nakeup Face, but my face hurt, got red, and I even got more breakouts, so I wondered why AHA was supposed to be good. But this product didn't cause any of that, and it was great. I guess it depends on the cosmetics brand. Anyway, I'm completely satisfied!! I love Mediheal (their sheet masks are amazing too)
ConsThe smell....uh...hmm... The reviews and blog posts said the smell was really strong, so I wondered how bad it could be. It has a vinegar-like smell, or a pungent, nose-piercing scent. But it's not so bad that I couldn't bear it or had to wash it off. It was just about tolerable. The acne spot treatment I'm using, Patima Gel, also has salicylic acid as the main ingredient, so the smell is pretty strong too, though maybe not as much as this Philosophy product. I guess I got used to it, so it was fine for me! But for first-time users, the smell might be off-putting... And it stings a bit. I heard AHA and BHA products tend to sting when you use them, as they dissolve the dead skin. But it wasn't unbearable~I was worried since my skin is super sensitive, but it was just a mild, tingling sensation, not a painful "ouch!" The last downside is that it's quite sticky, so when I apply moisturizer after, my face feels tacky and gooey. But even with all that, I'm still willing to use it, because it worked so well for me~ However, I wouldn't recommend this to people with extremely sensitive skin, thin skin, skin conditions, or open wounds on the face. It might be too irritating for them.
TipThe instructions say to use the cotton swabs after cleansing, and then do your basic skincare routine. Since my face is very sensitive and dry, I started by using an aloe vera hydrating toner to prep my skin, and it still seemed to exfoliate well~ And after using this, I think just a simple moisturizer is enough! I just used the Laneige cream after and woke up with such a glowy complexion the next day. And as the instructions mention, sunscreen is a must after using this! These days, we all know sunscreen is essential even on cloudy days or when staying indoors, right? Oh, and there are two versions of the product, blue and red. For skin types similar to mine, the blue one seems to be gentler. The formulas differ in concentration, and the blue one appears more mild. And for those with sensitive skin who find this product works well, the instructions say to use it 1-2 times a week, but it might be better to space it out to once a week to avoid over-exfoliating. It's currently on sale at Olive Young for 3,900 won, until around January 6th I think. Try getting one first to see if it suits you, and if it does, stock up! I just bought a pack of 20 sheet masks and this product yesterday, and I'm going back today to get more to hoard - my wallet is going to be empty...Haha, I got a bit carried away talking about this product that I love. Hwahae community, wishing you all a Happy New Year and flawless skin in 2023!

ConsIt seems a bit too irritating. After using it, my face turned reddish like a breakout. It lasted quite a while.. And the scent was extremely pungent.
