I always used BB cream but switched to foundation due to darkening issues. This one definitely doesn't cause darkening. I remember Lee Yeon's Estée Lauder ad claiming 15-hour wear, though I haven't timed it myself. Anyway, the makeup does last a long time! When you apply it, it feels less like you're putting on makeup and more like you're adhering foundation to your face. The adherence is fantastic, which is probably why it lasts so long. Although the volume is small, the coverage is good, so you don't need to use much. This means it'll last quite a while!
The biggest drawback would have to be the price... It's incredibly expensive. Being a department store brand and all... You could buy two drugstore foundations for the price of this one. It's terrifying! And the fact that the price keeps increasing every time you buy it... Sigh...
If you don't have a solid skincare base, it might feel tight and dry. You really need to have a strong skincare routine before applying, and that's how you get long-lasting makeup too. This is the foundation of all good makeup, right? Also, because it adheres so well, you need to be thorough with cleansing. Double cleansing is a must! As for the price, since it's so expensive, it might be good to buy it online. It's usually a bit cheaper there. However, I've heard they don't provide a pump when you buy online, though I haven't purchased it that way myself so I'm not sure. I've read that you can find compatible pumps from other brands if you search online, or you could buy it from the department store the first time to get the pump, and then buy refills online later. In my case, I buy from the department store because they often give samples like the Advanced Night Repair serum or mascara as gratis. That's why I shop there. The Advanced Night Repair serum is really good too! I wonder when I'd ever buy and try it if it weren't for those gratis samples!
