The color is truly beautiful and well-executed! I've never used BB cream before, let alone Etude's, but I couldn't resist buying this limited edition one, especially with the discount. I'm extremely satisfied - it's such great value for money! The coverage is quite good, and there's no darkening effect. That was my main concern, to be honest. Let's be real though, you can't expect a BB cream to cover everything perfectly... For that, you'd need foundation or concealer. I have dry skin, but because I make sure to use oil in my skincare routine, it doesn't feel patchy or dry at all. I was worried when I heard it was matte, but it applies smoothly. I'm thinking of repurchasing in the Light Beige shade! It's a limited edition shade... While it doesn't settle into wrinkles and covers pores well, it does emphasize dead skin cells a bit. - Hwahae UserDry SkinJan 6, 2016
When applied, the pearl effect wasn't overwhelming but rather subtle, which I really liked~ First of all, it absolutely doesn't work for my skin... Despite not having particularly sensitive skin that reacts to many products, I noticed blemishes appearing after using this. I used it daily for two weeks before having to stop. It's a bit too drying for those with dry skin. It tends to pill easily. The color was also much lighter than I expected... Overall, I had a strong feeling that this product just wasn't compatible with me at all.. - Hwahae UserDry SkinJan 1, 2016
This is my first time trying a BB cream, and it felt like a rare find, so I just went for it! When I visited the store, there was only one left. Many online reviews were positive too. I applied it with some anticipation. Since my skin is naturally on the fairer side, it didn't make a dramatic difference in whitening. Unlike other BB creams that can have a yellowish tint, this one is just white. The shimmer is so fine that it's not noticeable, but if you don't cleanse properly, it stays on your skin. I worry that might not be great for skin health. I only use it occasionally for important outings. While it didn't cause any blemishes, when applied alone, it just sits on top of my skin. I think that's because I have dry skin. That's why I ended up buying a makeup base because of this product. Fortunately, it doesn't float when applied after the base. However, if you apply too much, it can pill a bit. After applying makeup base and foundation, you can achieve a subtle brightening effect by thinly spreading this on top to further even out your complexion. It gives a subtle glow with its fine shimmer. - Hwahae UserOily SkinJan 1, 2016
The finish was quite matte, which I liked, and a small amount spread easily over my entire face! That was really nice. When layered, it also improves coverage. I have extremely oily skin, and when I applied this BB cream, it felt quite greasy. The staying power wasn't particularly impressive either. However, when paired with Etude's Makeup Conditioning Cream Light, it's truly an excellent combination that works hard. - Hwahae UserDry SkinOct 14, 2015
I used this as a base makeup product. On its own, it obviously lacks coverage and the color is too light. Be careful with the amount you apply, or you might end up looking like a pink piggy! It contains subtle shimmery pearls, making it suitable as a pink pearl base. It's great to mix 1:1 with other products or use as a first layer. Personally, it feels like a blur cream with fine pearls added. As a base, it helps other makeup adhere well and improves longevity. Apply it with your hands like a strobe cream. It really brings out a nice glow! I've mentioned some drawbacks above. Besides that... this product is limited edition. I wish it was ongoing. While we're at it, I hope they make the Dreaming Swan compact ongoing too. If it disappears, there's always blur cream as an alternative. It's replaceable, to be honest, you don't really need to buy it... Since it's a blur cream + pearl base, I can mix it with other pearl bases I already have. It's best to apply with your hands. Pat it in like you're doing skincare to help it absorb well.
