I have combination skin (oily T-zone, dry U-zone) with some blemishes and small bumps. I've always used cleansing oils because I found other cleansing methods too bothersome. However, one day I noticed a sudden increase in pimples and bumps. After extensive online research, I learned that cleansing oils can leave residue in pores, potentially causing blemishes. I also found out that using a hydrating cleanser like a cleansing water is beneficial during dry seasons like winter. So, I immediately switched to a cleansing water, and this product was my first try!
There were several versions at Olive Young, but I was drawn to this one because it claimed to care for blemishes. Plus, it was on sale, making it quite affordable!
After using it every evening for a month, here are my thoughts:
1. No new blemishes!
I used it without any adverse effects! I was a bit worried after checking the ingredients on Hwahae, but I didn't experience any new breakouts!
2. Effective for dead skin cell removal!
While cleansing with this product, my skin felt smooth without any additional exfoliation! It was so satisfying to feel that smoothness right after washing.
3. Hydrating!
Lately, I've been battling a severe case of laziness, often skipping my skincare routine and going straight to bed. Even when I only used this cleanser without any follow-up skincare, my skin didn't feel tight or dry! Despite having an oily T-zone and dry U-zone, I didn't experience any noticeable dryness.
1. It stings if it gets in your eyes.
Oddly enough, while it didn't hurt when it touched my pimples, it really stings if it gets in your eyes. If this happens, your eyes can become red and very irritated.
2. No actual blemish care effect.
While using this didn't cause any new blemishes, I don't think it actually helps treat existing ones. I just appreciated that it didn't cause any new breakouts.
