The fragrance wasn't bad, but it wasn't really my personal preference.

After shampooing, I squeezed out the excess water and applied the product to my hair, excluding the scalp. Then, while brushing my teeth or exfoliating, I let it sit for 5 to 10 minutes before rinsing.
