I bought a foundation from VDL at a roadside brand store, but something in the ingredients didn't agree with my skin and my face kept getting red. However, Espoir didn't have that issue, and my skin looked beautifully expressed.
In the mornings when I'm in a hurry, I switched to the Espoir cushion, and for the first month or two, it worked well. The coverage was good, and it finished with a nice, non-greasy, powdery look. But by the afternoon or evening, it would start to break down.
Around the 2-3 month mark, I started getting acne that I had never had before. At first, I thought it was because I was just eating convenience store lunches every day.
So I started being more careful about what I ate, eating home-cooked meals instead of convenience food, getting plenty of sleep, using natural cosmetics, and barely wearing makeup. I even tried acne ointments and pore-cleansing packs for the first time in my life, but the bumpy acne on my forehead wouldn't go away, and I even got a huge pimple on my nose. My cheeks, the area around my nose, and my mouth area were a mess.
My family said it seemed like the cushion makeup was the problem, so I switched back to the Iope cushion I used to use. Within a few weeks, my acne calmed down.
I thought the Espoir cushion was a good match for my skin, so I enthusiastically used it for a long time, but I guess my skin was slowly getting damaged over time. I only changed the puff once, which may have been an issue with hygiene, but even the Iope cushion I used for 3 years, I only changed the puff once and never had any problems.
It seems like there was just something in the ingredients that didn't agree with my skin. Recently, my skin has improved a lot, so I tried the Espoir cushion again, but the very next day, acne started popping up on my face again, and a big pimple is forming on my nose.
The stick foundation I used to use worked well for me, but the cushion formula just doesn't seem to agree with my skin.
