I've tried every acne treatment and skincare product under the sun for my blemish-prone skin and scars. But just two weeks after starting to use La Mer cream, my stubborn breakouts began to shrink and my scars visibly improved. I was so impressed, I switched all my skincare to La Mer. I have a habit of applying products on the back of my left hand, and one day I noticed a huge difference compared to my right hand - the skin texture, complexion, pores, and even the hair had become softer! It's truly magical. Despite the price, I've converted all four women in my household to La Mer. It's a game-changer, even if it's breaking the bank!
The price is undoubtedly the main drawback, but considering the large size of the product, it's actually quite economical. My husband and I use it together, and it still lasts at least three months, so I feel it's worth the investment.
For the cream, you absolutely must use the thickest formulation (I forget the exact name) - not the gel or emulsion type. That's the only way to get your money's worth. Even though I have oily skin, I use a tiny amount during the day and layer it on thickly with extra hydration at night. The next morning, my face is so plump with moisture it's almost swollen! I've tried all the La Mer products, and I'd advise against splurging on their most expensive essence in the gold case. I couldn't notice any significant difference, so don't waste your money on that one (it's in the $800 range).
