I always carefully check the full ingredient list before buying any product. Although I usually stick to natural products, I heard so many great things about La Mer cream that I decided to give it a try, despite not being entirely satisfied with the ingredients. My combination skin tends to be on the dry side, so I was hoping for intense hydration. While the cream provided plenty of richness, it didn't quite deliver the moisture boost I was looking for.
Many people have mentioned the high price, but in my opinion, if the ingredients were more skin-friendly, I think more people would be willing to splurge on it despite the cost. I've noticed that quite a few people are hesitant to use it due to concerns about the ingredients. Of course, I tried it knowing full well what was in it, but aside from the algae extract, it's not significantly different from other chemical-based cosmetics. For this reason, I won't be repurchasing.
