It's been around for 108 years, and they haven't changed the formula or production method since its inception. I've tried papaw creams from numerous Australian and British brands, but Lucas' Papaw Ointment is hands down the best.
The reason? It works wonders for me, and I haven't had a single blemish or issue in 14 years of use.
My ears tend to swell and develop pus when I wear non-gold earrings, but if I apply this ointment before bed, they're back to normal by morning. I also apply it to my lips every night, and come morning, all dead skin cells are gone!
Over these 14 years, I've used it for countless issues. Burns, cuts, mysterious insect bites, bruised knees from falls, even hemorrhoids! It's unbeatable for soothing and alleviating all sorts of problems!
1. The 25g size has a very wide opening. As stated on the back, it should be stored below 30°C, but in hot summers, it liquefies and leaks everywhere. There's a 15g size available - go for that one. The 15g is thick enough to last you all year.
2. It's as rich as petroleum jelly. If you apply it over makeup, it causes pilling!
3. Personally, I didn't find it effective for acne or pimples. It didn't make things worse, but I didn't see any improvement either.
Despite its rich texture, it works wonders for dry eye areas. Mix a tiny amount with your concealer and apply - it'll keep you protected even against harsh winter winds!
