CUREDERM Azulene Soothing Gel

I originally had clear skin, but I've had persistent breakouts on my forehead for over 3 months. Even after receiving anti-inflammatory treatment from a dermatologist, the breakouts kept coming back. Since I've never had breakouts before, I didn't know what kind of skincare products to use for that area. I'm an oily-skinned type who uses rich creams even in the summer. The store associate suggested that I apply this product like a face mask, and it had a great calming effect and provided excellent hydration. While it didn't directly treat the breakouts, after using this product, my skin improved and I'm still using it successfully.

There's no real downside. It's not a product that immediately sinks in or anything. It's more like a lightweight sleeping pack, but it's not sticky at all. However, if you apply it on its own or as a pre-cream step, it absorbs quickly but can actually make your skin feel a bit taut, kind of like when you only use an aloe vera gel. So I'd recommend using it as the last step after your cream.

When the associate recommended it, I was told to apply all my other products first and then use this one as a final mask-like step before going to sleep. After trying that, I found that this product provides an extra boost of hydration and soothing effects on top of the moisture and nourishment from my other products. And surprisingly, even though this product doesn't have any oily ingredients, the effects of the previous products seem to last longer. As someone with naturally dry skin that quickly loses moisture, I really appreciated that. And unlike a heavy sleeping pack, this feels refreshing and lightweight, yet still provides great benefits, even in the hot summer.

This product has excellent moisturizing and soothing effects. I used it after getting skin troubles during a trip to Thailand, based on the dermatologist's recommendation, and I'm very satisfied, so I continue to use it.

It doesn't last long and can't retain moisture on its own, so you need to use a moisturizer together with it.

It's economical to buy the large size, and on days when you've received a lot of UV exposure or your skin condition is poor, you can apply it generously on your face like a mask.
