      Pros

It seems your younger sibling bought and used it, then forgot to take it back home. Since anything on the vanity is fair game for me, I've tried using it. The product's label claims it contains 2% salicylic acid, which is the key ingredient. However, the ingredient list is missing salicylic acid, which is an important component. Salicylic acid can be irritating for sensitive skin, but it has antibacterial effects and chemical exfoliating properties that benefit oily and acne-prone skin. It's commonly referred to as a beta-hydroxy acid (BHA). Products sold in Korea typically contain 0.5% salicylic acid, but purchasing overseas or through group orders can give you access to products with up to 2% salicylic acid.

      Cons

However, the BHA in cleansers is said to have a very minimal effect. I'm not sure why they even put it in cleansers. Cleansers are rinsed off quickly, so they don't provide enough time for the salicylic acid to work on the skin cells. So you can't really expect much in terms of its exfoliating or antibacterial benefits. The high 2% concentration of salicylic acid may be the reason my skin felt so irritated. When I first used it, I applied it generously, and my skin went haywire afterwards. Now I only use it very sparingly and only on targeted areas. Since I have it, I might as well use it. Your sibling didn't intentionally leave it behind, did they?

      Tip

If you're considering a product with BHA, opt for a toner or emulsion rather than a cleanser. The BHA in cleansers is essentially useless.
