1. It has excellent longevity, comparable to Double Wear. 2. It gives a prettier skin finish than Double Wear. 3. The coverage is medium to high (seems not much different from Double Wear). 4. It's more hydrating than Double Wear. 5. It's relatively more affordable. My skin is combination dehydrated with an oil explosion and slight blemish marks. I'm prone to breakouts from certain organic UV filters, making it extremely tricky to choose a foundation. This one doesn't contain those ingredients, so no blemishes! When choosing a foundation, longevity is my top priority, and this one truly doesn't break down, just like Double Wear. I tried to switch from Double Wear as it was too drying and increasing my fine lines, but all others failed in longevity (Clinique, Guerlain Parure Gold, Guerlain L'Essentiel, Armani Lasting Silk, etc.). This one is the best! It even fades beautifully. It's definitely less drying, though not extremely hydrating. Personally, I find the skin finish prettier than Double Wear. Double Wear can look cakey if you apply too much, but this one doesn't, even if you accidentally over-apply. It sets to a soft finish, not quite matte but semi-matte? It doesn't look super dry. I'll definitely repurchase when I run out! I really hope oily skin types will give this a try! It's such a great product, I wish it was more well-known. I use 1.5, but it's not available here. I use Cool Bone in Double Wear, and the brightness seems very similar. 0.5 might be even lighter...? I compared it to Double Wear because it's the holy grail for oily skin, and I've been searching for years to find a replacement. For me, it had to be as good as or better than Double Wear... The lack of SPF? But that's fine since sunscreen is a must-have anyway. The real downside is having to shake it vigorously every time... my arms get so tired! I apply it with either a dry wedge puff or a Picasso brush, and both work well! The brush seems to give slightly longer-lasting coverage, but the wedge puff seems to settle less into pores when it starts to fade. When touching up, smoothing out any buildup with clean fingers helps restore a nice skin texture. - Hwahae UserDry SkinFeb 1, 2017
Honestly, as soon as I tried this, I thought it was a holy grail foundation. It's lightweight yet provides excellent coverage. I switched from using Bobbi Brown's serum foundation, and I love how this gives a subtle glow. I usually wear shades 21 or 22, but the warm-toned 1 was a perfect match for me. Unfortunately, I had to stop using it because it caused blemishes to appear. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAcne SkinDec 12, 2016
This water-based foundation is perfect for dry skin. It's ideal for someone like me who doesn't like heavy makeup in winter. While the coverage might be a bit light, it applies smoothly and has great staying power. I bought the yellow-based one, but when I mix it with a pearl base, it gives a beautiful, refined glow. Being a hydrating formula, the coverage was a bit on the lighter side. Mix the foundation with a pearl base for better results. As it's a liquid type, it applies better with a foundation brush. Using a sponge tends to absorb too much product, leaving little for your face. Apply concealer to cover imperfections before the foundation. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinJan 30, 2016
As someone with fair skin, I often find that foundation darkens my complexion. However, this product doesn't darken my skin tone as much as others do. It's quite drying, so when used alone, it tends to sit on top of the skin. Those with dry skin types should take note. I found that mixing in a tiny amount of facial oil before application works wonders.
