The contouring effect is definitely noticeable, but it has a strong reddish undertone Despite its creamy texture, it applies smoothly with a matte finish. I can't really find any drawbacks It would work well for contouring the jawline or hairline area - kd****Dry SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinJun 2, 2021
This was the first product I bought when I started trying contouring. I thought it would make contouring easy to do. After swiping it on, I had no idea how to blend it properly. I tried about three or four times before giving up and stashing it away. I'm sure skilled makeup artists can use it effortlessly, but as someone with less experience, I thought it would be simple (the ads made it look so easy). Unfortunately, it wasn't great for me. The color was too dark, and it even removed my existing makeup. - db*********Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinMar 14, 2020
1. The color payoff is excellent 2. It applies smoothly and feels soft on the skin Due to its softness, it smudges and smears easily with the slightest touch - Hwahae UserDry SkinAcne SkinRecommendedJan 8, 2020
It's convenient to carry around and the shading is intense, which I really like Since it's only one color, blending it naturally isn't impossible, but it does require some effort Using a new puff makes it very portable - Hwahae UserDry SkinAcne SkinRecommendedSep 4, 2019
It applies smoothly and feels moisturizing! Using a puff and gently patting it in with a rolling motion towards the center of your face seems to create a natural finish. The amount is generous, so it should last for a long time! In my opinion, it might be a bit too moisturizing, so I'd recommend it for those with dry skin. Also, while I mentioned it looks natural, people with skin tones around 22-23 might need to be careful with blending. If you blend too much, it tends to match your skin tone completely, which might not be ideal. - ls*****Dry SkinSensitive SkinAug 21, 2019
Affordable purchase. The stick format makes it moisturizing and easy to apply. Causes small, millet-like blemishes on the applied area. The color is yellowish and reddish, appearing somewhat artificial. The scent is unpleasant. - gk*********Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityDead Skin CellsJun 6, 2019
"Not bad for beginners... but wouldn't recommend" ✨ Why I bought it Back when I needed contouring, I purchased this on a friend's recommendation. At first, I was satisfied thinking the stick format would be convenient... but by today's standards, the drawbacks are too significant for me to repurchase. ☁ Texture & Application This product, being a stick, definitely has good adherence. It's not drying and applies smoothly. However, if you fail to control the amount, it can really... make you look like you've grown a beard. If the edges don't blend well, you end up with a dull-looking face. 🧴 Packaging & Portability I'll give credit where it's due. Being a stick, there's no worry about breakage, it's lightweight, fits comfortably in your hand, and can be applied with a few quick swipes without a brush. It's great for students to use. ❌ Drawbacks Small amount + Wears down quickly It diminishes fast even without frequent use. Not great value for money considering the quantity. Contouring is a product you use a little bit every day, but this one disappears too quickly. Strong love-or-hate color A yellowish undertone that even warm skin tones can't pull off, not a natural contouring shade. Use The Hwahae Testers instead. - hb****Combination SkinSensitive SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsRecommendedJun 3, 2019
This review is based on using the entire product. My skin is generally dry, but combination with oily T-zone and butterfly zone. I'm also allergic to high concentrations of fragrances. My skin tone is close to #22, leaning towards #21, and I have a warm undertone close to neutral. I only apply contour to my U-zone and foundation to the rest of my face. ✏ A moisturizing stick that even those with dry U-zones can use While people with overall oily skin might find it a bit greasy, it's great for those with dry skin who want to contour but find powder types too drying. The formula isn't too soft, maintaining a good firmness that prevents smudging. ✏ Convenient for easy contouring during travel If you're worried about pressed powder contours breaking and the hassle of packing separate brushes, this stick is perfect. You only need a blending puff, making it very portable. ✏ Might be challenging for those who don't prefer yellow or red undertones This product differs from typical contouring products that are low in saturation and have a grayish tint for easy application. The color may be hit or miss for some users. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinJun 1, 2019
Hmm... This product was truly ambiguous... Let's take a look at what we liked and what could be improved together! 1. Color payoff The color payoff isn't bad at all! It's just right, in fact! 2. Adherence It sticks to the skin quite nicely! This aspect is fairly satisfactory! 3. Oil content It's noticeably oily... It feels more greasy than moisturizing... 4. Color The color is perfect for contouring! I'm quite satisfied with the shade! 5. Pilling, emphasizing dead skin cells There's something ambiguous happening - either pilling or emphasizing dead skin cells. It looks fine right after application, but after about 2 minutes, something starts to happen... As mentioned in the positive points, the pilling, emphasis on dead skin cells, and excess oil were quite disappointing... - sn******Dry SkinSensitive SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityDead Skin CellsRecommendedMay 27, 2019
The natural application and color expression are its biggest advantages. It's a shading product that doesn't require much adjustment in terms of quantity. While stick products for lips might need quantity control depending on your lip line, with this shading product, you can just swipe it on. The application is so smooth that when adding shading effects to your skin, it doesn't pill at all. I don't really have any complaints about the shading effect. It gives such a natural look. Make good use of the edge for nose contouring. While you can apply it thickly on the temples or sides of the cheeks, for raising the nose bridge, it's best to use the edge to create a thin, precise line.
