The color is simply gorgeous, and it feels smooth and velvety when applied. The color payoff is not as strong as I'd like.
ConsSince it's a matte lipstick, if I don't exfoliate my lips beforehand, it can accentuate any flaky skin and the wear time isn't as long-lasting.
TipI'd recommend a gradient lip look over a full-coverage lip.

Well, it's not that there's none, but it's much less flaky. It's a bit powdery, the application is decent, and the finish is soft. I'm already on my third one.
ConsIf I had to point out something, it would be the tackiness and the fact that it doesn't really help with dead skin removal, and the price...?
TipYou can sometimes get Clio products on 1+1 sales or with additional coupons on sites like 11st. Roadshop lipsticks tend to be a bit pricey, though.

The formula is incredibly sturdy - it glides on smoothly but then transforms into a soft, velvety finish. This reminds me of the Shu Uemura lipstick formula, but since my lips tend to be very dry, even with exfoliation and the Shu Uemura lipstick, they still feel parched. This product, however, maintains a lovely, non-drying, velvety look. I'm really amazed - goodbye to all the MAC matte lipsticks, this is the only one I'll be using from now on.
ConsI'm not sure if it's because of this, but I've developed chapped lips. But since I use 5-6 lip products a day, I'm not sure what the culprit is. I'll update this if I figure it out.
TipThis can get a bit patchy when you rub your lips together, so it's best to use a cotton swab or lip brush to gently dab and gradient the color. Then, go over the center of the lips a couple more times with the main lipstick bullet for a beautifully defined, gradient red look. Alternatively, you can start with an orange-leaning coral or pink-leaning coral lipstick as the base, and then just dab this red on the center of the lips for a lovely ombré effect. The photo shows the look I created by using the Chanel Rouge Coco in the Coco shade as the base, and then applying this red lipstick in the center and blending it out.
