Unlike other brands' high-concentration vitamin serums that can cause a stinging sensation, this product doesn't have that effect at all. It has helped fade red pigmentation from acne scars. Consistently applying the serum to areas where acne has healed makes the reddish marks disappear faster. This serum works well without causing any blemishes, which is why I'm currently using my second bottle.
ConsIt's slightly sticky and a bit runny, which can make application a tad inconvenient. When I pump it onto the back of my hand before applying to my face, it tends to drip, so I need to apply it quickly. I'm not sure where to purchase it domestically. I plan to buy it again when I have the opportunity to travel abroad.
TipApplying a cream containing peptides after this serum enhances its effectiveness. It's said that the combination of vitamin C and peptides aids in collagen production! (While not certain, I think this might be why Drunk Elephant sells it as a set with their Protini Polypeptide Cream.)

It's effective for improving skin tone, which is what you'd expect from a vitamin C product. While using it, I didn't experience the typical tingling sensation often associated with vitamin products, but it still provides that nice, firm feeling. I can't speak to its whitening effects as I don't have dark spots. I've burned through a lot of dollars, euros, won, and yen trying different products, but I've somewhat settled on this one for now. That said, if another great product comes along, I'll switch. I tend to toss vitamin C products when they oxidize, so I slightly regret buying the 30ml size at first. If you use vitamin C products daily, it's better to go for the full-size version.
ConsIt would be nice if they offered a box set of about five small-sized products, similar to Sisley's vitamin ampoules. With vitamin products, it's best to use them up quickly after opening anyway.
TipWhen it comes to functional products, I don't use just one daily but switch them up depending on my skin condition. If you have a similar style and are looking for a vitamin C serum, here are some suggestions: 1. There's a starter kit that includes the T.L.C. Night Serum and LaLa Whip Cream along with the vitamin C serum. Give this starter kit a try! (The Whip Cream is amazing - it's not on Hwahae, unfortunately. It's excellent for winter, especially if you have a dry U-zone. Give it a try!) 2. There's also a set with 8ml of the hydrating gel and 8ml of the vitamin C serum. I buy this set and use it up quickly. (The hydrating gel is gentle and mixes well with moisturizers, other serums, or even heavy foundations if you need to mix it.) They recommend using this vitamin C serum in the morning and finishing it within 6 months of opening. But if you're like me and use various functional products depending on your skin condition, you might not finish it within 6 months. In that case, your arms, back of hands, and chest end up getting the royal treatment! * After using vitamin C products, make sure to layer on a B5 or hydrating product!
