  Pros

  It created a subtle, natural-looking finish on my lips.

  Cons

  In an attempt to apply it evenly, I ended up over-applying, which caused the outer layer of my lips to peel off. My lips used to be healthy without any lip balm, but now I can't go without it. To make matters worse, it doesn't even apply evenly - it stains unevenly, leaving me in a really awkward situation.

  Pros

  Unlike other lip tattoos, it's easy to fix if you accidentally go outside your lip line.

  Cons

  The staying power isn't great at all. The color payoff is different from the photos, resulting in a strange, outdated shade that doesn't apply well and really irritates the lips. You definitely need to follow up with lip care after using this. It feels like glue has been absorbed into your lips for hours. That's why I ended up applying it by gently patting it on top of lip balm, rather than applying it directly. The scent is also quite unpleasant. If you have any cuts or dead skin cells on your lips, it stings a lot - actually, it hurts even without those issues. I really, really can't recommend this. I bought two shades, but if you're set on trying it, 'Bare Face Essential' is the least bad option.

  To care for your lips, try applying a thin layer of lip balm before using this product and then gently pat it on top to reduce irritation.

  Pros

  The price is affordable. The color is beautiful. It has impressive staying power.

  Cons

  The application isn't great. It's difficult to remove when peeling off. When removing, it can tear the lips and cause bleeding. The scent is quite strong. After some time, it leaves patchy stains on the lips.

  Tip

  Exfoliate your lips before applying. Don't use it too frequently (it might stretch your lips). Use it together with a lip balm. A tint is better than a tattoo lip product.
