Hwahae UserDry SkinAcne SkinMar 4, 2018First off, it's adorable because it's a character mask sheet. However, since Gudetama is yellow, the mask sheet is also yellow, so from a distance people might think you've come down with jaundice... While others mentioned it stings and causes blemishes, I didn't experience that. It didn't sting for me - I wonder if my skin is just insensitive... As a mask enthusiast with a daily mask routine, I found it less hydrating compared to others, but it does have a lot of essence in it.

The photo shows my skin about 15 days after using this mask, when it had somewhat calmed down. This mask was absolute rubbish for me. I picked it up thinking 'Oh, how cute!' to get that Holika Holika discount... (Though my face wasn't cute at all when I put it on). I only realized later that I'm allergic to phenoxyethanol, which is listed way down in the ingredients. Why did this happen to me? When I applied it, my skin started burning. I usually experience this, so I thought it would be fine after a while, but it kept burning and stinging, so I had to take it off midway. My face was all blotchy and red. I washed my face, applied my skincare, and hoped it would calm down, but all hell broke loose the next day. It was winter, and while I'd had some redness from dryness before, it had never been this bad. For the first time in my life, I got a massive breakout of tiny pimples. Even pustules popped up. I usually wear light makeup, but even when I tried to cover it up, it just looked messy, so I ended up only applying sunscreen. Everyone I met asked what happened, and I was truly depressed. I changed my skincare routine twice over the course of a month trying to calm it down. Looking back, I realize the first new product I tried also contained phenoxyethanol... My poor wallet... I don't even want to think about how much money I wasted. The photo is from 15 days later... Everything I applied stung, but not applying anything left my skin dry. It was so painful. The aftermath lasted quite a while. My skin never fully recovered to how it was before... (I naively thought it would get better if I just avoided irritating it). It seems my skin had become weaker because a few months later, when I used a mask I'd used before, my skin reacted similarly, though not as severely. This time, thanks to my previous experience, I managed to calm it down quickly, but my skin remained extremely sensitive and didn't improve. I lost all desire to wear makeup and while searching for solutions, I found my way to Hwahae by looking at ingredients... It's been quite a journey. Just don't use this product! I wasn't going to write this review since not many people seem to look at it, but I decided to share my experience in case anyone is curious! It's as adorable as I hoped! The appearance alone makes me want to display it! The size is a bit large, and I felt a tingling sensation as soon as I applied it to my face. I wouldn't recommend buying this... - ch*****Oily SkinJul 7, 2017
None. I received this as a gratis item, but it's the worst. Don't use it. It burns and stings intensely as soon as you put it on. This is the first time I've ever experienced this with a sheet mask... I immediately took it off and washed my face. Absolutely not buying this.

I trusted and bought this thinking it would be amazing like the emulsion holy grail, but it gifted me with all sorts of blemishes, acne, and pimples. After a while, my face started burning and tingling. For the first time ever, I'm now visiting a dermatologist... I got to use this as a free sample... The Gudetama design is adorable! My skin stung so badly that I wanted to throw the sheet mask across the room. The only positive thing I can say is that it's cute... My face started tingling, so I had to take it off right away... What a waste of money... I think I need to wash my face again... 
Hwahae UserOily SkinSep 10, 2016First off, I didn't spend my own money on this - ha! I got it as a freebie when buying over 5000 won of the Gudetama edition. It's a pretty standard sheet mask, I'd say. Super hydrating though! No blemishes appeared, and I used it without any issues. The sad part is saying goodbye to Gudetama so quickly since it's disposable... Yeah, that was the disappointing bit. Also, while Gudetama was cute, my face with Gudetama on it? It's just adorable. The Gudetama character is super cute. That's about it... For a face mask, it's way too thick and doesn't seem to adhere to the skin at all
