This review is based on using more than three tubes of the product. My eyes are very oily, and even with famous eye primers and powder, creasing occurs before half a day passes. Due to the oil in my double eyelid line, eyeliner or mascara often smudges down to my aegyo-sal (under-eye fat), and since my eyes tear up easily, the tail always smudges. Because my eyes are so prone to smudging, I don't usually fill in the waterline. ✏ Clean and vivid color payoff I can't even remember what mascara I used before this one - that's how much this product has made an impression. It makes my lashes look clean and natural, as if I've applied false lashes. It doesn't apply too thickly, making it easy to control the amount and look natural. I think the brush also contributes to this mascara's effectiveness. The wand isn't thick, and the bristles aren't long, making it easy to control the amount. Gently wiggling it side to side while applying results in a beautiful application without clumping. ✏ Long-lasting & ability to cleanly define lower lashes If you apply it to your lower lashes as suggested in the tip below, it reveals lashes in places you didn't even know you had them, and they last all day! This wasn't a feature I was expecting from this mascara, so it doesn't bother me, but: It's not suitable for those wanting voluminous or long lashes with lots of fibers. So, people with very thin or short lashes might be disappointed. The use of talc This is an ingredient issue - it might not be suitable for those uncomfortable with talc unless it's certified asbestos-free. ✏ Hold the mascara vertically and lightly brush it over your lower lashes to create clean, noticeable lower lashes. ✏ When you start noticing powder falling under your eyes after applying mascara, it's time to replace it. ✏ I don't expect mascaras to maintain curl. Shu Uemura and Shiseido curlers didn't work well for me, either not curling or the curl dropping quickly. However, since using the Kai portable curler, I've found its curvature suits me perfectly with excellent curling power and curl retention. I loved that the mascara wand isn't too thick, so it doesn't clump when applying and removes easily. Perhaps because it removes so easily, when I cried, the mascara ran down, which was inconvenient. Even after curling my lashes well, they kept drooping with this mascara, which was disappointing. For those who like to curl their lashes a lot, I recommend curling them again after applying the mascara!
