The application is matte, so it's not particularly moisturizing. While the color payoff is excellent, it does tend to emphasize dead skin cells quite a bit. You might want to pay extra attention to hydration and exfoliation when using this. It's a product where the color is the star - after all, isn't that why we wear lipstick?

I took a swatch photo on the back of my hand using the default iPhone camera. The color is a vibrant pink that I think can make even those with yellowish undertones look more lively.
