  Pros

  As someone who usually dislikes the heavy feeling of creams on my face, this is the only one I consistently use. After cleansing and applying my basic skincare, it initially feels a bit rich, but once absorbed, it leaves my skin feeling firm and supple. While my skin used to feel tight after sleeping, with this product I wake up to a delightfully hydrated complexion. The jar, though sturdy, is cleverly designed to allow you to use every last bit of the cream.

  Cons

  The price point is quite steep, making it a product I'm hesitant to purchase unless I'm at a duty-free shop.

  The absorption and application seemed just right. Now, what else should I try?

  I've never had my skin react badly to cosmetics in my life, as I have pretty resilient skin. But as soon as I used this product that I received as a gift, my face completely broke out. About 30 seconds after applying it to my face, I experienced a burning sensation and redness. Foolishly, I used it for another day, and my entire face turned red with small bumps appearing. I had changed several skincare products at that time, so I didn't realize it was because of this product and used it for one more day. However, when I stopped using this cream, my face finally started to calm down. I suspect it might have been due to some allergy-inducing ingredients.

  Tip

  Those with super sensitive skin should probably avoid this product.

  Pros

  I've been using SK-II products for over a decade, and I especially love their cream. When applied, it makes my skin smooth, absorbs well, and keeps it hydrated. During the 'No Japan' movement, I stopped using the Pitera Treatment, but I couldn't find a replacement for the cream, so I eventually came back to SK-II.

  Cons

  But when I checked the ingredients on Hwahae, I was disappointed. I haven't found an alternative cream yet, and I'm not sure what to do. Why are all the ingredients like this? It's frustrating that a cream that works so well for me has such questionable ingredients.

  Pros

  It's very milky but absorbs well as soon as you apply it. While it's scientifically proven that cosmetics can't actually shrink pores, this product definitely brightens the complexion and evens skin tone, creating an optical illusion of less visible pores. It's a must-buy product for me.

  Cons

  When SK-II works, it's really good, but as winter starts and my skin becomes dry to very dry, at some point applying it makes my skin turn red and itchy... It seems all SK-II creams do this (this is just my personal experience, but it's always been like this for me).

  At some point, it suddenly turned on me. Now, no matter how I apply it, I get blemishes on my face.

  It absorbs well, so I use it in the morning. My skin feels instantly hydrated, and makeup applies smoothly. After using this, there's no pilling when I apply makeup. I've been using it for years along with the essence from the same brand, and it seems to improve my skin texture nicely.
