I was amazed at how this product, which my mother used to use, truly lives up to its name - it makes your skin sparkle and creates such a beautiful complexion! The only downside is that the coverage is slightly lacking. - Hwahae UserDry SkinRecommendedApr 21, 2019
The color was perfect and it was incredibly hydrating. I've never seen anything quite like it... The slightly pink base made it even better. There might be a bit of darkening, but it's still okay because it's so moisturizing! - Hwahae UserOily SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinApr 5, 2019
I bought this foundation because it's from a cruelty-free brand, and I'm really pleased with how it applies thinly and creates a beautiful complexion. The dropper bottle makes it a bit tricky to control the amount at first. - he*******Combination SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedOct 18, 2018
I'm using Light, not Fair Light. My skin tone usually fluctuates between MAC NC20 and NC25. The attached photo shows my skin after applying this product and finishing with Makeup Forever HD powder. There's absolutely no caking around the nose, and acne scars are barely visible. I prefer a slightly brighter complexion than my natural skin tone. I used to use shade 23 with a yellow base, but I've found that pink-based products give me a more even skin tone. Now, I'm not particularly fond of most Korean cosmetics with predominantly pink bases. This product has a slight pink tint, which initially disappointed me when I swatched it on my hand. However, when I applied it to my face with my fingers, I was pleasantly surprised to see that it matched my neck perfectly. The texture is like a runny nose, which makes it easy to blend smoothly. Plus, the packaging is absolutely gorgeous! It has a dropper-type applicator that gives it a luxurious feel, and the gold container adds to that high-end appearance. Even without a primer and on days when my skin isn't at its best, it still manages to make my complexion look fairly smooth. As far as I know, this product has been discontinued... It's such a shame! When it went on sale at Hwahae for around 15,000 won, I stocked up on two bottles. Since I'm always on the hunt for new foundations, I figured I'd probably want to try something different after finishing these two. The dropper-type applicator makes it a bit tricky to control the amount of product. Also, if you apply it with your hands, areas that aren't blended well tend to oxidize. It can dry and clump on areas with dead skin cells. However, compared to other foundations I've tried, it's less prone to emphasizing flaky skin. For a non-cakey skin finish, use a dense foundation brush to apply the product in zigzag motions, then pat the edges with your fingers or blend with a damp sponge to soften any lines. Since skin tone isn't uniform across the face, I brighten the center of my face with a lighter concealer. The Light shade matches my neck perfectly, so if I apply it all over, it can make me look a bit washed out. - rr******Dry SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedSep 3, 2018
It's moisturizing and provides good coverage even with a small amount. Above all, it suited my dry skin really well. Highly recommended for those with dry skin! After applying this foundation, you need to wait a while before you can do eye makeup like eyeliner or eyeshadow. In other words, it stays dewy for some time, making it impossible to apply color makeup right away. I had to deduct a point for this, unfortunately. Recommended for dry skin. After your skincare routine and sunscreen, apply this foundation and then dry your hair. By the time you're done, your makeup will have set nicely, making it perfect for applying color cosmetics. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinRecommendedSep 2, 2018
It doesn't cake and it's absolutely amazing! Even with my extremely dry skin, it doesn't flake at all... Highly recommended! Plus, it gives a semi-dewy finish that looks gorgeous. Definitely not a summer cushion, but perfect for fall! Well... The coverage is lacking and it doesn't conceal pores... Mixing it with concealer works wonders, and on its own, it's perfect for a natural makeup look. The semi-dewy finish means it can transfer a bit, so setting powder is an absolute must. It tends to break down easily, so you should definitely carry it in a cushion compact for touch-ups. - ja*******Dry SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedApr 6, 2018
Not drying at all, feels comfortable on the skin, and the application is really easy. You can just glide it on effortlessly. I applied the Fair Light shade, but it's too dark. I usually use shades 13-19, but this one has a noticeable muddy undertone. As a serious beauty junkie, I've recently become more aware of the 'boycott unethical companies' movement (I've started to prioritize corporate ethics). I thought Stila was one of the better companies in this regard, so I had high expectations for this foundation. While the ingredients, philosophy, and formula are all great, and the price is quite reasonable for a department store brand, it just looks too earthy on my face. It gives me that 'overseas Korean' makeup look... Apparently, Fair is the lightest shade, so I'll have to go to the department store to check it out. I tried applying it with my fingers, then with a damp Daiso jar-shaped puff, but using my hands works best. It's a shame that the glow diminishes when you pat it with a puff. Use tools that enhance the glow, as that's one of its strong points. Make sure to bring out that radiance. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinMar 24, 2018
This foundation works wonders on areas prone to patchiness! It applies incredibly lightly but still offers great coverage. As I have combination skin, when used alone, my nose area tends to get oily. I apply this foundation on dry areas and use Estée Lauder on parts where I want a matte finish - it's the perfect combo! If you struggle with patchy makeup in certain areas, give this a try! Stila seems to consistently produce high-quality cosmetics across their range. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinMar 8, 2018
Hydrating and gentle ingredients that work well! It feels a bit slippery, but I think it's better than the Barbie serum. There aren't many stores, so it's difficult to test... The pump bottle makes it a little tricky to use. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAtopic SkinMar 4, 2018
As someone with extremely dry skin, this is the most hydrating foundation I've ever tried. True to its name, it feels like applying a serum or oil blend. Despite its moisturizing properties, it has impressive staying power, with less darkening even by evening. While the shade range is quite polarized between 21 and 23 with no in-between, it blends well with your complexion if applied skillfully. Above all, I love how it masterfully balances the usually conflicting qualities of longevity and hydration. And let's not forget, Stila's packaging is just gorgeous, isn't it? The dropper is a bit inconvenient... It's quite challenging to open with slippery hands after skincare. I keep forgetting to shake it before use...
