  The smell doesn't seem too strong, and others have said it works well on fine hair. I think the thick hair is also fine, as the roots don't completely disappear.

  The light hair worked well. It's gentle and not irritating, and the included sponge is soft and good. It does have a perm-like smell, but it goes away when you wash it. It's good to use on your legs or arms.
