ProsI bought this eyebrow mascara to match my bleached hair color. The brush is conveniently designed with both thick and thin sections, making application easy.

ProsMy skin type:
- Combination dehydrated skin (super oily on the surface but deep dryness underneath)
- Super sensitive skin + atopic (easily affected by external factors; skin becomes dull and irritated with lack of sleep or stress. During seasonal changes, skin gets itchy and sensitive areas like eyelids swell and flake without allergy medication)
- Doesn't react well to most oils (some are okay, but rarely)
- Acne-prone (always get a huge pimple before and after my period, and have constant small bumps since wearing masks)
- Large pores
- Overall problematic skin
Product story:
I have naturally dark, full eyebrows, but without them, I look like I'm not wearing any makeup... you know what I mean, right? Drawing them was such a hassle that I got semi-permanent makeup, but wasn't fully satisfied. After months of regret, I finally turned to Benefit. The staff recommended products, taught me application techniques, and even helped correct my mistakes as I practiced. It was a truly valuable experience. (For reference, this was at the Hyundai Department Store in Pangyo, visited without appointment on a Friday around lunchtime.)
I used to use Etude House Brow Mascara and Auto Eyebrow Pencil, but the color was too yellow. When I dyed my brows darker, it didn't match. The brow mascara had good pigmentation but felt cakey, which I disliked, so I sought out Benefit.
The color recommendation was spot-on, and I appreciated that they didn't push me to buy unnecessary products. The photo shows my brows as done with the staff, and I'm thrilled with the result!
In the photo, the brow mascara might not be very noticeable, but my natural brows are truly jet black. (My hair and body hair are all black, unfortunately.) I pre-dye my brows, but using just a brow pencil without mascara makes them look even more intense. So, I recommend this for those who want to naturally tone down dark brows.
As you can see from the swatch, there's a slight pearl effect, but it's not overwhelming. It applies much more naturally and evenly on actual brow hairs than on the hand swatch, making it easy even for beginners.
It removes easily with cleansing water. The photo I took at home that day is actually after I had been moving things and sweating a lot, but the brows stayed put with almost no fading!
Cons- I won't mention the price. We all know department store cosmetics prices, and I think it's reasonable considering the in-store service you receive.
- I haven't been using it for long, but I'm very satisfied so far. We'll see how it holds up in the summer heat and sweat.
Tip- Before applying brow makeup, use a primer or powder to remove excess oil. This creates a smooth base that helps the product last longer and apply more evenly without clumping or patchiness.
- Applying Benefit's Porefessional primer before doing your brows really helps them last and looks great!
