The brightening effect is definitely good, but you need to apply it moderately I didn't notice while using it, but after reading reviews on the Hwahae app, it seems it's not that great - dl*********Dry SkinSensitive SkinAtopic SkinRecommendedApr 12, 2018
I've discovered a hidden gem in brightening moisturizers! Personally, I only wear sunscreen and a brightening moisturizer for everyday looks, unless it's a special occasion. It's been challenging to find one that perfectly suits my skin, but I've finally found a great option after a long search! Many brightening moisturizers tend to be drying, causing pilling and an uneven application over time. However, this one is incredibly hydrating! It applies smoothly without any patchiness or flaking. Oh, and I love the scent - it's a delightful blend of rose and powder fragrances! While it's hard to be precise since I have fair skin, I'd say it brightens my complexion by about 0.8 shades. It also provides surprisingly good coverage. The fragrance is lovely, but it fades away too quickly, which is a bit disappointing. If this were the regular price, I might have hesitated, but with a 50% discount, it's quite reasonable. The brightening effect seems to intensify over time. Just be careful not to apply too much at once! - Hwahae UserNormal SkinAug 1, 2017
It does naturally brighten the skin. Not greasy either. However, the effect doesn't last long. The scent is like cheap rose perfume. After about thirty minutes of application, my skin started itching, and the next day I got blemishes. The oiliness was out of control, and the itching was unbearable. Please, for the love of all things holy, do not buy this. After using it, I developed severe cystic acne. I've barely had a pimple or two a year since 6th grade, but after using this, my skin broke out badly. The acne won't go away, and my face is left oily and shiny. Don't buy it... - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinFeb 14, 2017
It's handy for quickly brightening your complexion when you've left the house without makeup. Though the effect doesn't last long. While it's described as having a rose scent, the cream itself does smell like roses, but once applied, it turns into an overpowering fragrance. Rather than reducing melanin in the skin, it feels more like spreading a very fine white powder. I bought several during a sale, but I absolutely won't apply it to my face now. It caused blemishes on my sensitive skin. Not wanting to waste it, I only use it on my body, but if not applied evenly, it can look patchy. I'm using it up when I wear long clothes and don't plan to buy it again.
