Massaging it in rather than just applying it helps prevent a tacky feeling. If you let it sit for about 5 minutes after applying, it controls surface dryness and leaves a matte finish, making it a good base for makeup. The texture also works better in transitional and winter seasons than summer - it can feel a bit sweaty in the summer.
