It's so gentle that you might question calling it citrus - the tangy notes are subtle, with a soft aroma taking center stage. Like most citrus scents, the initial burst might remind you of mosquito repellent, but the lingering scent is absolutely divine. I'm confident it has the best dry-down among all Diptyque perfumes.
ConsThe initial mosquito repellent-like scent is a high hurdle to overcome. It takes longer to reach the point where you can say it's better than other brands' citrus fragrances.

The lingering fragrance after spraying is incredibly cozy and pleasant.
ConsThe orange scent isn't as natural as I expected. It might be polarizing. It has more of an artificial orange aroma.
TipBe careful not to overspray, as it could lead to a headache. This fragrance would be perfect for summer.

The fragrance is a delightful blend of citrus, woody, floral, and spicy notes. When you first spray it, there's a slight peppery kick that tickles your nose, but even that was enjoyable! What I particularly love is how the lingering scent isn't overpowering, leaving behind a clean, subtle floral aroma.
ConsAs with any fragrance, personal preferences vary widely, and Eau des Sens hasn't escaped some negative reviews. Some people even jokingly compare it to insecticide smell!
TipI adored it so much that I wanted the scent in my hair too, so I bought a hair mist. On second thought, simply spraying the perfume on a brush and combing it through works better.

ConsThe base note (lingering scent) is quite disappointing. To put it nicely, it smells like a marshmallow doll. To be a bit more critical, it reminds me of incense burning. (I've even heard some say it smells like a shaman's house...) It's likely to be a love-it-or-hate-it fragrance. I inquired about the possibility of an eau de parfum version, but unfortunately, they only offer it as an eau de toilette.
TipPro tip: Decant some into a small bottle to spritz throughout the day for a longer-lasting fresh scent! Testing is absolutely essential, especially with Diptyque fragrances as they tend to change dramatically on the skin. Don't buy immediately after testing in-store. Instead, take a scent strip home and smell it again after a while to get the full experience!
