Here's my routine that works wonders: Start with CAIS, follow with a hydrating essence (it doesn't necessarily have to be The Ordinary's Hyaluronic Acid), then apply this product. It's absolutely divine! For winter use, just layer a cream or facial oil on top of this product.

I wish it could be used in the depths of winter too. Neither the glass container nor the aluminum tube really appeals to me...

I bought this in the dead of winter and found it slightly lacking in hydration, so I layered some oil or a richer cream on top. But now that spring's here, it's perfect for my combination dehydrated skin with an oily T-zone. While others mentioned pilling during makeup application, I didn't really notice any issues even when I applied it generously. I initially purchased the 50ml from 29cm, and it worked so well that I quickly used it up. I've just ordered the 100ml aluminum tube from the official website, which prompted me to write this review.

The price is sky-high (though it's a bargain compared to department store brands). To avoid the inconvenient 50ml container, I bought the 100ml tube, only to find it's pure aluminum - I'm scared it might tear! One downside: if you apply too much, it can pill. If you find it's not moisturizing enough when using a small amount, try adding a serum or oil in the previous step.

Amazing texture! In a world dominated by silicone-free products, it's so rare to find a silicone-based gem like this. The silicone moisturizer combined with amino acids allows for versatile use - from a light feel to deep hydration, depending on how much you apply. I use about one and a half pinky-nail's worth for my entire face. 

Update 07/03/2022: Unfortunately, I developed milia and small bumps, so I had to return it. After switching back to my old cream, my skin cleared up in just two weeks. Seems my skin doesn't agree with pricey cosmetics...

For best results, apply 100% aloe gel to damp skin after cleansing, followed by the hyaluronic acid serum MMHC. Then, layer this product on top, thinking of it as a moisture-sealing final step. This routine provides perfect protection against moisture loss.

If you apply too much, it doesn't absorb well and can pill like dead skin cells. However, even a small amount provides enough hydration, which is actually a good thing. Just be mindful of the quantity you use.

As someone with combination dehydrated skin that's seriously lacking moisture, I felt an immediate sense of comfort as soon as I applied this. It's like it was made for my skin's natural composition. This is the first time I've experienced such a feeling from a skincare product, so I'm planning to switch my entire routine to DECIEM!

Mix it with serum on the back of your hand, then transfer about two knuckles' worth to your middle finger and apply it to your cheeks for even application.

It doesn't seem to live up to its price. It should lock in moisture, but my skin dries out quickly. I'm using the 100ml tube version. My skin type: combination dehydrated skin + enlarged pores. I've been happily using The Ordinary from the same company for about 5 years, so I decided to try the NIOD brand as well. The tube packaging is much more hygienic to use compared to the bottle version.

I recommend using this in your evening skincare routine (personally, I don't recommend it for daytime use). Apply your skincare products slowly, layering them one by one, and use this cream as the very last step, 'coating' your skin. You'll notice more hydrated skin the next morning. Don't apply it like a regular cream, or you might experience pilling. Instead, try applying a thin layer as if you're 'coating' your skin. As I mentioned in the 'cons' section, it's crucial to understand the characteristics of skincare products before using them. If you use this simply as a 'moisturizer', you'll be 100% disappointed.

Many people complain about pilling, but personally, I don't have any significant issues with this cream. As described on the website, this cream is meant to be used as the final step in your skincare routine to create a thin barrier that prevents moisture loss. If you mistakenly use it as a regular 'moisturizer' to provide hydration, you might be disappointed with the results. Despite the seemingly small amount for the price, it lasts quite long, so I'm satisfied with the value.

No matter how good a product I apply before bed, the next morning my skin is always dry on the inside and greasy on the outside. But this cream forms a thin protective layer on the skin after completing your skincare routine, preventing moisture loss. It has a jelly-like, translucent texture and applies with a silky, matte finish. It's lightweight and great even for acne-prone skin. I've been using it consistently every evening, finished two bottles, and I'm on my third!

Unfortunately, this product contained ingredients that didn't agree with my skin at all. It caused small bumps to appear, similar to seborrheic dermatitis. This product was a complete mismatch for my skin type.

I have mild seborrheic dermatitis, very dry and thin skin prone to redness, and I'm particularly sensitive to pore-clogging silicones and fermented ingredients. This product contains a lot of silicone. The product description claimed it used a 'good' type of silicone that doesn't clog pores and only locks in moisture, so I decided to give it a try. But alas, it didn't work out. My redness worsened, and I developed small bumps and blemishes. I ended up returning this product for a refund.

Applying it felt amazing... It goes on so silky smooth and leaves my skin feeling incredibly soft. I even liked the bottle design. While using it, I just kept hoping it would work well with my skin.

It works fine at night, but in the morning it's best to apply just a thin layer. If you use too much, it can cause pilling when you layer other products on top.

The bottle design is a bit inconvenient with its narrow opening and deep container. It's a bit of a hassle having to use a spatula to scoop out the product.

Unlike regular moisturizers, I love how this one leaves my skin feeling incredibly soft and velvety. While it has a similar texture to standard creams when applying, once spread out it creates a thin, smooth layer that feels like you've dusted on powder. It's great because it doesn't sit on top of the skin uncomfortably or feel suffocating - instead, it absorbs well.
