The scent was lovely... The packaging somehow made me fantasize that my skin would improve just by applying it. It was way too oily, and when I applied it before bed, I woke up with my face completely broken out. It was absolutely terrible... Might be good for those with dry skin though. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinJul 25, 2019
Ingredients - I always prioritize ingredients when choosing cosmetics, and I really liked the ingredients in this one. I think even those with super sensitive skin could use it. Application - It applies really smoothly, which I loved. Scent - The fragrance isn't overpowering, and the subtle scent it does have is personally appealing to me. I think even those sensitive to fragrances could use this without worry. First off, it feels too rich. I know creams generally contain oils, but this one seems excessively oily. It's fine when first applied, but over time it feels like only the oil remains. Because of this, I can't apply it more than once - it might not suit those with combination dehydrated skin. Also, 30000 won for 50ml seems overpriced. I bought it at 50% off, so I didn't pay full price. Personally, I've never been disappointed by TonyMoly's Ultra Moisturizing and Black Tea lines, so I had high expectations. While the Black Tea Cream isn't a complete letdown, it doesn't quite meet those expectations. I'd rather apply the Ultra Moisturizing Cream two or three times than use this. Although I don't want to discourage its use due to the good ingredients, I personally won't be repurchasing. Buy it when it's on sale. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinJan 23, 2019
Hmm... I don't think it's bad? It does seem to moisturize... They say it helps with blemishes, but I haven't used it long enough to tell. If I received it as a gift, I'd be like 'Oh, thanks!' and might use it or not... I loved the Green Tea Hydrating Cream so much that I went to buy it again, but they kept pushing the Black Tea one, saying it was even better and had a 1+1 deal. I bought it, but it's a bit oily... I don't like sticky or greasy products. I didn't notice it much when I tested a small amount on the back of my hand, so I just bought it... Now I'm crying! I prefer the Green Tea one. I think the Green Tea works better for oily skin, while the Black Tea might be good for dry skin... - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinDec 7, 2018
As someone with combination dehydrated skin, I experience oily tendencies in summer but deep dryness in fall and winter - to the point where I worry my skin might shrivel up! I've been loyal to TONYMOLY's Black Tea line for quite a while, purchasing it during sales. I've tried the toner, emulsion, serum, cream, and recently the oil. Among these, the cream suited me least. The positives are: gentle ingredients, decent hydration, and affordability during TONYMOLY sales. Since using Hwahae, I always check ingredients before buying cosmetics. I'm satisfied with products made of gentle ingredients, and this cream fits the bill. I used it for about a year without any blemishes. The hydration is adequate, though those with very dry skin might need extra moisture from toners or serums - I'm doing that myself this fall/winter. Lastly, TONYMOLY occasionally sells the Black Tea line at half price. I've stocked up during these sales and feel I've gotten great value for money. As mentioned, I've tried the entire Black Tea line, but the cream suited me least. While it provides adequate hydration, for me it's just 'adequate,' and leaves a very rich feeling at the end. The absorption isn't bad - it initially feels like it's sitting on the skin, then seems to sink in, but ultimately feels more oily than moisturizing. It doesn't feel suffocating, but as the day goes on, my skin starts to feel dry. I thought it was okay until fall, but as the seasons changed and winter approached, this cream alone wasn't enough. Combining it with oil made it feel too greasy, so lately I've been using just toner, emulsion (sometimes skipping this), serum, and oil. I might go back to using the cream without oil in spring, but I'm thinking of finding a more hydrating cream. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinFeb 25, 2018
I used to always have at least one pus-filled blemish, but since using this product, I haven't had a single breakout! The hydration is great, the price is reasonable, and I'm very satisfied. I'm on my third bottle now! It feels rich on the skin immediately after application. As someone with very dry skin, I like how moisturizing it is, but those with oily complexions might not enjoy it as much. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinFeb 19, 2018
I saw reviews mentioning blemishes, but as someone with sensitive, dry skin, I'm using it wonderfully. I'm already on my third bottle. I tested it on the back of my hand in-store, and even after an hour, the applied area remained moisturized, which convinced me to buy it. It's rich enough that I only apply it to the extremely dry areas of my skin. It feels too rich to apply all over the face. Unless you have extremely dry skin, I recommend using it only on specific areas. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinJan 30, 2018
When I went to buy it, the sales assistant mentioned that the ingredients were gentle, and true to their word, it didn't cause any hives or blemishes on my skin. I loved how quickly it eliminated dryness when applied to my parched skin! I realized it's more of a moisturizing cream than a hydrating one. Perhaps that's why it felt like it was sitting on top of my dehydrated skin that craves hydration. While it did alleviate some dryness, it felt more oily than hydrating, which wasn't ideal for me. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinOct 11, 2017
I bought the set in the winter because of the moisturizing effect, and everyone said it felt really nice on the skin!! Since it's a cream, it does have some oil content, which is fine to use at night, but I wouldn't recommend it in the morning...haha After applying the toner and cream, the skin feels really plump and supple. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinApr 27, 2017
The product has a good spreading ability and is moisturizing when tested on the back of the hand, so I decided to purchase it. As it is a functional product, I expect it to be effective in reducing wrinkles and brightening the skin. Since cyclopentasiloxane is the second ingredient, when I applied it to my face after getting home, it felt heavier and greasier than expected. I would not recommend using this in the summer. The usage experience is slightly stuffy, and the price is also quite expensive. I absolutely do not recommend this to those with combination or oily skin types. Apply it to dry areas. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinApr 7, 2017
The scent is natural. Hmm... It's not too lightweight, but it also has a greasy feel to it. It's sticky. It doesn't absorb well and feels like it's just sitting on the surface. For oily, dehydrated skin, it feels like there's too much oil and not enough moisture. The essence is okay, but this one is a bit sticky. When I'm in a rush in the morning and applying my makeup, it keeps sitting on top, so I end up blotting it with a tissue and then applying foundation.
