ConsHowever, my skin was turning fiery red in the process. I started using this product knowing it could cause some burning sensation. The first time I used it, it felt so hot and intense, with my entire face stinging. I seriously debated whether to wash it off immediately. It felt worse than rubbing alcohol pads all over my face. After rinsing, my skin was red, hot, and covered in small bumps. It was similar to the reaction I had with that famous Japanese blue foam cleanser, but about 5 times worse. Yet, foolishly, I thought 'Maybe this is just the product working to remove sebum' and tried it three more times... With each subsequent use, the burning sensation (ouch!) became less noticeable, but the skin irritation remained the same.
TipProducts with a green formulation (often targeting oily skin with green packaging/formulas/minty feel) might work well for some skin types. Personally, I've never had success with products primarily aimed at pore cleansing/sebum control/deep cleansing for oily skin.
