I've been consistently using this product since I was in Canada! I've gone through nearly 10 bottles, but it was hard to find in Korea. After trying other products, I've finally come back to this one! I'm writing this review because there aren't many, and I really want to spread the word about it. Compared to The Ordinary products, this one has a better formulation of ingredients and improved absorption. I use some The Ordinary products too, but mostly for nighttime skincare. I don't use them during the day due to pilling issues under makeup. However, this product can be used both day and night without any absorption problems! It's the perfect hydration serum for sensitive combination dehydrated skin!! It's really difficult to buy this in Korea unless you visit an offline Deciem store. Even on the official website, since it's imported from overseas, there's a 12,000 won shipping fee for orders below a certain amount! First, I'd like to express my gratitude to I'm Kim Care for providing this product. Please note that this review is subjective and reflects my current thoughts. Hylamide is a sub-brand of DECIEM, making it a sister brand to The Ordinary and NIOD. Each brand has its own unique value proposition: The Ordinary: Offers the most proven, basic ingredients and formulations at affordable prices. Hylamide: Aims for comprehensive skincare targeting all skin layers, with a focus on high penetration. NIOD: An experimental skincare line featuring new and technologically advanced ingredients. This product aligns perfectly with Hylamide's brand values, using hyaluronic acid that can reach the dermis, aiming to hydrate the entire thickness of the skin. In this respect, I'm very impressed with its effectiveness. It's not sticky (unlike some cheaper products with large molecule sizes) but provides definite hydration. I've never felt the need to use creams with this. (It seems that with advancing technology, the necessity for very creamy moisturizers for hydration or anti-aging is diminishing, unlike in the past.) The price point is also reasonable, especially since Hylamide has withdrawn from European drugstores with high middleman margins, resulting in almost a 40% reduction in retail price. When you look at The Ordinary's products, Hylamide might seem even more appealing. The Ordinary's formulations often feel like they're simply mixing ingredients with water (e.g., Matrixyl = thickener + moisturizer + Matrixyl + preservatives, etc.). However, the advantage of this simplicity is that there's less chance of side effects or the product not suiting you. This Hylamide product contains not only hyaluronic acid but also tremella mushroom extract (which serves a similar purpose) and yeast extract for higher nutrient content. However, these ingredients may not be suitable for those with allergies or sensitivities to fermented ingredients. While the formulation is sophisticated, requires advanced technology, and feels great on the skin, it's all for naught if it doesn't suit your skin type. For me, Hylamide and NIOD are like that - I admire their technology and scientific formulations, but I can't actually use them... I'd recommend this for those who can use it. Unfortunately, for sensitive, acne-prone skin like mine, it's unusable no matter how much I'd like to try it.
