It's like a budget-friendly Lush Shrek mask... I bought it to try since I don't usually exfoliate. It's convenient to use as you can apply it right away, and the amount is generous. Since I use it once or twice a week, it lasts for quite a while. The ingredients are pretty good for this price point too! There's nothing particularly disappointing... I wonder why we always feel obligated to write about downsides. Apply it in a thin layer. When I first used it, I applied it thickly and it didn't wash off well. Maybe due to poor amount control, I got some small blemishes around my nose. After that, I started applying it thinly only on problem areas like the T-zone, nose, and cheeks where I have pore concerns. When washing it off, I don't use a scrub, just gently rinse to minimize irritation. At this point, I'm not sure why I even bought this. Maybe I should have gotten the Super Volcanic Clay instead... This is why it's important to research and read reviews before buying cosmetics... - sh*****Oily SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinNov 8, 2017
The positive aspect... I suppose it does help with removing dead skin cells? First of all, it stings too much... Usually, when I use a mask, my face swells up and my blemishes subside, but this one actually makes them more prominent... And it smells like fermented fish sauce! The odor was unbearable while using it. - ga********Oily SkinAcne SkinOct 21, 2017
1. The design is adorable. It's a wash-off mask in a jar that looks like a tiny honey pot. 2. The peppermint scent is incredibly strong. Plus, it contains actual peppermint leaves. They say it includes real peppermint. It gives a refreshing feeling when used in summer. 3. It seems to have some effectiveness in controlling excess oil. 1. Not recommended for those with super sensitive skin. (Refer to ingredients by skin type) It can cause significant skin irritation. As soon as you apply it, you feel the characteristic burning sensation of peppermint, and your face tingles slightly. If used for soothing after extracting blemishes, you might experience extreme discomfort. (It does get better after some time.) 2. It doesn't seem to be a product with exceptional soothing effects. It's not a product I'd go out of my way to purchase again. 3. Because it contains peppermint leaves, those with narrow home drainage pipes might risk clogging. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinOct 10, 2017
Just as described, the redness on my face subsided more than I expected. There wasn't anything particularly disappointing. If I had to pick something, maybe the scent? But it's not that bad. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinAtopic SkinSep 21, 2017
It feels incredibly refreshing when applied, and after washing it off, you can really feel the difference in your skin. The softness lasts until the next day, leaving your skin remarkably smooth. Right after use, it can cause some redness, so those with super sensitive skin might want to avoid this product! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAug 9, 2017
The Lush Shrek mask is a budget-friendly option. It's light and easy to use. My skin feels super soft after using it. It works well for treating large blemishes and heat-damaged skin. I have combination dehydrated skin with an oily T-zone and dry cheeks. I use it on my entire face once every 1-2 weeks, and on my T-zone and nearby areas 2-3 times every 1-2 weeks. The scent is quite strong (reminiscent of deer droppings). It's like a mix of red bean powder and peppermint, resulting in that distinct odor. While it's good for the skin, the smell makes me wash it off after just 10 minutes (I'm very sensitive to scents). You can avoid the strong scent by not applying it under your nose. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinJun 11, 2017
I've been using this when my blemishes flare up, and I love how quickly it calms my skin. It contains real peppermint, which makes it feel trustworthy. There's one potentially harmful ingredient that concerns me a bit, but I haven't found any other drawbacks yet. I'm using it about once a week and it's working well. I found it effective for chest acne too. When I notice redness and bumps starting to form on my chest, I apply this. After leaving it on for 20 minutes, I gently massage the peppermint leaves while rinsing off, which seems to provide a mild exfoliation for dead skin cells as well. - pp******Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinJun 3, 2017
I bought this because it seemed similar to Lush's Mask of Magnaminty. It has a cooling effect and doesn't cause any blemishes, so I use it occasionally when my skin feels hot. Compared to Mask of Magnaminty, it's more affordable and pretty decent. After using it, my skin feels super soft. The consistency is a bit thin. It's not bad, but not amazing either - just average. It's good for managing dead skin cells. No irritation. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinFeb 4, 2017
The price is reasonable and the ingredients seem decent... My skin tends to be sensitive, but this product really upset it. I'm not sure what went wrong since I've been fine with Lush's Shrek mask and The Body Shop's charcoal mask. It's a shame because I bought it for the low price, but now I'll have to switch back to Lush. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinNov 26, 2016
First off, I got a blemish on my chin which was a bit annoying. For context, I'm an Innisfree enthusiast and always keep up with their holiday collections and new releases. I bought this product right after it came out, after reading the reviews. The packaging is totally Innisfree's style, which I love. 1. When I first applied it, I noticed it has little bits inside, like peppermint leaves? It's similar to Lush masks, with small particles that feel like red bean. It spread really well on my face without any grittiness. The absorbs well was great. 2. Results: The first time I used it, I didn't notice much (which is expected after just one use). I left it on for 15 minutes to set, then washed it off with the Chinyoshio (you can find my review on that) green tea foam cleanser. While the ingredients are good, I was a bit worried as some aren't great for super sensitive skin. However, I experienced no issues. There was a nice cooling effect, but no burning sensation. After using it 2-3 times, the blemish on my chin has almost disappeared. That's Innisfree for you! I'll definitely repurchase. I also bought their new Black Green Tea Mask along with this one, and I'll be posting a review on that soon. The amount is so tiny! Oh Innisfree, even if it costs a bit more, please make a larger size version of this 2000 won mask. When washing it off, first rinse with water as much as possible, and then use a foam cleanser to ensure no residue is left behind.
