The color in the pot looks very light pink, making me wonder how to use it. But when applied, it goes on sheer. If you keep layering, it becomes more opaque, living up to its Paint Pot name. It's fun to mix with other eyeshadow colors. When combined with shadows that seem lacking, it can create surprisingly nice shades.
ConsWhen applying to the eyes, the pearl particles can feel a bit rough on the delicate eye area. Those with super sensitive skin might find it uncomfortable. It feels different from the pearl particles in Chanel cream shadows.
TipLet's Skate gives an unexpectedly subtle effect. If you want a more glamorous look, use Let's Skate as a base and layer a powder pearl shadow on top. This combination compensates for each other's weaknesses, resulting in a dazzling, long-lasting finish. This Let's Skate plus powder pearl combo also works great for creating a tearful effect.

If you're looking for an opal pearl cream shadow, I highly recommend this. I want to applaud MAC for their ability to create such beauty. - Even a tiny amount is enough to cover your entire eye area - The quantity is incredibly generous. It's not that the product itself is oversized, but since you use so little each time, it feels like you have an endless supply - Pink base with opal pearls = brightens up the eye area. Perfect for those with sunken or discolored eyelids (It's a product that moms will adore. In fact, it became my mother's absolute favorite) - I actually went to test Laying Low, but this was so pretty I ended up buying it. That's how stunning it is - The luxurious packaging (Plus, it's great that the case doesn't show fingerprints) - The texture is somewhere between a cream and a glue stick, so if you apply it as a base and then layer powder shadow on top, it increases the staying power (It also shoots opal beams through the layered shadow)
Cons- The surface can be stiff. It's fine once you get some product, but it can be hard to pick up at times (Be careful, it might not transfer to your fingertips) - When the surface dries out, you need to scrape it off with a cotton swab periodically - I experienced some clumping, even though I have monolids (In my personal opinion, Missha's discontinued cream pearl shadow was twice as good. High-end doesn't always mean the best) - Pearl particles can end up scattered on your face - The price is wickedly high - Why did they put it in a glass container, making my makeup bag suffer? It's forced to stay on my vanity = Personally, I'm not satisfied with how it performs, so I probably won't repurchase
TipIf you're considering buying it, testing is a must. It's cheaper if you purchase from duty-free shops. It's good as a point color, but works even better as a pearl base! (It increases the staying power of powder shadows applied on top)
