Pros
The MAC lipstick always has such beautiful color payoff. I still can't quite figure out my exact skin tone, but I tend to go for high-chroma colors that work well for me, regardless of whether I'm cool or warm-toned. In fact, Mangrove is a color my husband picked out for me from the MAC color range, and to my surprise, I ended up really liking this lip color! 😊 When I swatch it on the back of my hand, there's a slight whitish cast that makes it look a bit dated, but once I apply it to my lips, the high-intensity color actually brightens up my complexion nicely. It has a vibrant coral (orangey?) vibe, with hints of pink that give it a mystical quality. ☺️ While this shade is naturally flattering on warm skin tones, if you're like me and can pull off high-chroma colors, I think cool-toned folks can rock this one too! And since I'm really into matte, bold colors, I've been enjoying wearing this lipstick a lot.^_^

😅 As I mentioned before, I really love the matte feel, but for those who don't enjoy matte lipsticks, this formula might feel a bit heavy. If you apply it without proper lip prep, it can emphasize the texture of your lips and look uneven.~

Pros
The color is so pretty yet very natural. It's great for daily wear! If you like a matte lip expression, I'd highly recommend it!!!! It makes your face look radiant, and it's my favorite color in the MAC series!!!!!
Cons
The matte... While the lip expression looks beautiful when first applied, over time the lip texture and wrinkles become emphasized ㅜㅜ There's a slight clumping when applying, and it doesn't spread evenly, so you have to use a lip brush, which is a bit of a hassle..

Lip balm!!! Be sure to do lip care and apply it!!!!!

Pros
The pigmentation is very good and when I applied it to my face, it gave me a brighter complexion. True to its matte finish, it applies matte, but the texture itself is not bad.
Cons
The downside is that it can clump up if you layer it.

Pros
Spring has arrived!! It's about time to take out my holy grail, the Mangrove lipstick. It's so hard to describe the color - it's a mysterious blend of orange, red, and pink. Compared to MAC Lady Danger, they're both red lipsticks, but Lady Danger has more of an orange tone, while Mangrove leans a bit more towards a pink hue. As a warm-toned (true spring) gal, this is my holy grail lipstick that just fits me perfectly!
Cons
The inevitable downside of matte lipsticks - accentuating flaky lips. What am I going to do about this? Ugh. Everyone who loves matte lipsticks knows that lip exfoliation is a must, right? The application is quite thick and dense, but that's part of the appeal. And the staying power is a bit lacking - the color tends to fade away from the inner part of the lips, while the outer edges remain. I have to carry it around and reapply constantly. (But if the color is pretty, I'll forgive any lipstick's shortcomings)
Tip
Full-coverage lipsticks look so pretty! But if the bold look is a bit too much, you can try applying the lipstick only about 80% on the lips and then use a lip brush to lightly smudge the edges to create a softer look. Start with a sheer orange-tinted lip tint all over, then apply the Mangrove lipstick only on the inner part of the lips, about halfway. Gently blend it out, and you'll get a lovely pink-tinged orange hue with the Mangrove's mysterious depth.

Pros
I really like the Matteup lipstick, so Mangrove is a great lipstick for me. The color is not orange, nor is it red, but a deep coral color, which I really liked. I think it would look great on people with slightly yellow and fair skin.
Cons
Even though I usually take good care of the skin on my lips, this lipstick tends to clump up on the inner part of my lips.
